Yeah Theo Johnson is a physical specimen, big, strong & fast. I also like Jared Wiley from TCU. He’s also a physical specimen. Big kid with good speed for a TE.
Rattler has always had a good arm and a little Mahomes in his in his style of play. He’s more of a 3rd round pick.
Nix, I like him more than most. He reminds me of a more talented Brock Purdy. One thing about Purdy, he just seems to have that “it” factor, just has the utmost confidence and...
I am hoping this doesn’t preclude the Pats from drafting a TE. I was hoping the Pats would nab Ben Sinnott in the 3rd or 4th round. He’s this year’s Sam Laporta in my opinion.
That being said, if they aren’t going to do that, I hope they double dip (at least) at WR.
I’m 61 and I have no concern with the Pats drafting a QB. Oh wait, you didn’t mean it like that.
I think people worrying about the age of QB prospects is silly.
Even though he wasn’t on the team I was rooting for, I was always a big Roman Gabriel fan. He was a hard nosed QB, and I loved watching him play.
Also liked him in the movies, especially the one with John Wayne called The Undefeated.
Hey now, this is MY thread ! I’ve been doing the “binkie” thread the last 3 years.
That being said, in the spirit of Patriot’s collaboration, I’ll allow it this year.
So some of my binkies, in no particular order of binkiness.
WR Brenden Rice USC
RB Emani Bailey TCU
WR Johnny Wilson Florida...
I never watch this show, so I won’t be watching what coach has to say. That being said, with his draft history the last 10 years being spotty at best, I’m really not interested in his thoughts.
I think we are at the point in the draft where it’s pure insanity. Rumors and craziness abound.
Early in the process, though I always wanted Maye, and thought he would be such a great pickup for the Pats. But I had readied myself for the Commanders to take Maye, and for us to wind up with...
I prefer Maye or Daniels over McCarthy. That being said, McCarthy is an EXCELLENT prospect. He’s got good arm strength, excellent escapability, throws extremely well on the run, is very athletic. You can actually call designed runs with him. Also I think he has a ton of confidence in himself...
Unfortunately, it’s tough to know if the QB you pick will wind up with the mental fortitude to be a great QB. You look at Tom Brady, the most mentally tough QB of all time, nothing was gonna stop him from being great, because he had that mindset, that want, that desire to be great.
So many QB...
