They can have the number 3 for their first this year, their second this year, their 3rd this year, their 1st next year, their second next year, their first in 2026, and the Super Bowl 42 Lombardi trophy
The issue is that if the rookie is not clearly better than Brissett pretty early on, then all of a sudden we are in actual jeopardy of him being a bust. It's not hard for a young high prospect to be better than Jacoby from the jump. There's mediocre starters who were drafted and were instantly...
Maye or MHJ. You need to hit with 3rd overall. If you assume both players are what their potential says they are, then they are worth more than what you get in trade.
The Vikings are the only ones with real trade capital to get this done. We swap the 3rd for the 11, 23, and a first next year...
He's not though lol.
There's no real statistical evidence that Brissett is better. You at best can argue he's a little better in INT's. Mac has a better completion percentage by a signficant amount, more Y/A, when you equalize starts Jones who struggled with TD's is better, Jacoby with a much...
Better but not contenders. And people have to really come to reckon with the reality that Mac was bad but part of him being bad was the offense being very bad as well. Take any of the playoff QB's and put them on this offense and they are worse than they were last year. We would be better...
No it wasn't. The Colts in 2019 were far better and were projected to be a serious contender with Luck. Brissett went 7-8 with them. They added more talent than the 2018 team that went 10-6 and won a playoff game and still ended up worse.
Jones had a winning season once. Brissett couldn't do that on teams that were projected to be Super Bowl contenders. He's safer, but he's also not even remotely productive.
I don't understand how our QB situation is improved. All we did was swap Mac for Jacoby. Jacoby never had a winning season and has had losing seasons on much better offenses and all around teams.
The issue is you have to assume they like a QB enough to think he's worth getting with #3 than whatever else they could get there. If you think Maye is just a bit better of a prospect than Mac Jones, then do you get him with all the same risks knowing you might be burning the pick on a QB on a...
Lawrence didn't live up to hype. But he was still pretty much fail proof. He's a good QB solid above average QB. He's just not an elite one despite a few flashes.
I think it's more that there aren't many suitors with the ammunition to make the trade attractive to the Pats and the one that really does (the Vikings) don't have real competition bidding against them and can now play hard ball and lower the price they pay if they want to do it.
One of the...
The issue with it all is that you are basically betting on a team to make the trade and then for them to make a mistake in their pick. If the team ends up correctly assessing the value of the player they are trading for, they are going to be good to and they might be in the 20's. Especially...
