What a donkey.

Basically said that if Rogers didn't do well it would prove that the Favre trade was the wrong thing to do, and if Rogers did well it was only preseason and therefore meant nothing.

I thought Favre jerseys were standard uniforms for the ESPN crew. Isn't ESPN all Favre all the time. Wendy Nix is living in Jets camp. Monday Night Countdown spent as much time about the Jets as they did either Cincy or Green Bay, maybe more.

well maybe it is funny for most people but wearing a jersey outright during a game that too in GB is kinda stupid and insulting, just my 2 cents.

Bring back Dennis Miller!

Another case of Korn-hole trying to be part of the story and not reporting it. He is great on PTI, someone should clue him into the difference between PTI and color commentary during a game.

Kornheiser plays the role of an over-the-top cartoon character. It started with Pardon The Interruption and was then expanded on Monday Night Football. Prior to that he came across as an articulate sports reporter with decent insight and analysis. I have the feeling what we see on MNF (and to a lesser extent on PTI) is an act that he is being told to play by the show's producer. Unfortunately for him, once he gets fired from MNF - soon, as nobody seems to last more than a few years on that show anymore - he'll be remembered for his clown act and nobody will take him seriously.

He's still worlds better than Jeo Theismann.

Well Korny is a Jets fan.

His act is getting old very quick.

Its sort of his "schitck". IMO it works much better on PTI than it does on MNF.

Wow, That's really going out on a limb. That's the kind of insightful journalism that I expect from ESPN employee's.

Well Korny is a Jets fan.

That fact alone makes him a pathetic and despicable human being...Although I may be going a bit far in calling him a human being.

That makes as much sense as Beowulf having sex with Robert Fulton at the first battle of Antietam. I mean when a neo-conservative defenestrates it's like Raskolnikov filibuster deoxymonohydroxinate.

I don't care what he was wearing... in fact, I would like them to do away with booth shots altogether. Except for Madden, since he gestures so much with his hands.

What I dislike about Kornhole is his need to talk storyline through 2 consecutive plays. He basically sits there recapping Sportscenter, NFL Live and PTI. If he had or shared any insight of his own, or that of sources, or that of other sports journalists, he'd be useful. Instead he talks like he's reading documents off the fax machine in Bristol.

After watching the Bills/'skins game on Saturday, I would take Theisman over Korn hole anyday.

Theisman was with the wrong people. He would be best in a two person grouping. It would also be interesting with Theisman and Jaws together.

Naturally, that wouold mean Theisman has to respect Jaw's opinion.

that is why I watch it on mute and tune into my sirius radio to listen to the game

The jersey thing was basically them making a joke and to keep the mood light and the game interesting during a preseason game. I doubt they would do that in a regular season game. If they had just Tirico and Jaworski though, it would actually be a very good broadcast. They have to build so much around Kornheiser, specefically those hideous in-game interviews and I loathe that stupid prewritten speech thing he does at the very beginning.

Side note, my favorite ESPN interview, they had on someone, I don't remember who, but they asked him who his favorite team was and he said he liks the Cowboys AND the Redskins. Which I guess would be OK except those two teams make up perhaps the most hated rivalry in the league.

Yeah, that's the problem, them feeling they have to do stuff to keep the game interesting, like talking over the game, joking and clowing around, telling long boring stories about non-football stuff, long boring stories about quasi-football (Farve, etc), stuff that no one cares about, on-field interviews while the game goes on in a tiny box on the screen. Football is interesting, not clowns.

Sad to say, Miller (especially toward the end) was a lot better than Kornheiser is. At leat Miller was funny once in a while, and although both Miller and Kornheiser read stuff off index cards, at least Miller used small index cards and didn't open his yap and overtalk multiple plays.

I like Kornheiser on PTI. I don;t like him in the booth. It was a stupid choice to begin with. Put in a play-by-play guy, and an analyst guy. That's all you need.
