Re: NYT: Walsh sends tapes to Goodell, NO walkthrough tape, all from 2000 and 2002

Why is everyone gloating about Walsh not having a tape of the alleged Rams walkthrough..? Don't you guys realize one of the tapes is from an AFC Championship game..? Let that sink in for a few. I'm just worried of what the additional penalties will be now.

Again, Kordell Stewart was the QB, and the stillers played thier best in the second half of that game... Beside's one of the more classy owners Dan Rooney says its not a issuie, to bad the Stillers fans have no class...

Interesting.

The Boston paper prints the story that caused all this nonsense.

The New York paper prints the story that stops all this nonsense.

If it's from the day after the game then it all means less than zero. Zilch. Nothing.

Re: Thank you John Tomase and Boston Herald

I put the order this way

Tomasse
Spector
And Espn's Matt Fish, and Chris Mortenson,

I think that ESPN isn't safe from a defamation lawsuit. Mike Fish wrote a very inflamatory story as Walsh as the source while admitting he had no idea what Walsh had. How is it not a slam dunk defamation suit where that article along with the Tomase piece started this whole mess and the author admits that he has not verified to see if Walsh has anything that could incriminate the Patriots beyond what they had already been punished for.

Personally, I think Kraft may have a better case vs. ESPN. Ernie Adams certainly has a huge case vs. them. They painted him as this evil genius behind the scenes.

Unless there's reason to believe it was used in the game of the taping, which there isn't, that's irrelevant.

Greg Esterbrook should also be on this list as well..

Re: Breaking News : NYT - Matt Walsh & Tapes

So its always when we lose a super bowl, some kind of crap happens , so I guess the solution, dont lose anymore super bowls:D
Fine by me!!!!

Re: NYT: Walsh sends tapes to Goodell, NO walkthrough tape, all from 2000 and 2002

the krafts control the tv part , and maybee espn should start being nice to them.. because when renewal comes guess who will get the mnf package.. how bout the nfl network... Espn gets crappy games now on thier schedule, so if they continue down this path, the krafts are smart enough to hit them where it hurts, football which is the only thing making money for espn now..

Let this sink in:

The Pats have already be fined and lost a draft pick for filming defensive coaches calling plays between 2000 and 2007. Walsh's tapes are evidence of what they already admitted doing and were already punished punished for.

Think about it.

This was the Roethlisberger one, they got the date wrong, it wasn't 2002. Anyway, we had a 21-3 lead at one point in the first half - no-one can say we had a monster comeback due to the tapes.

Actually, since ESPN is paying a billion dollars a year for MNF and NBC, CBS, and Fox are paying far less, ESPN might consider it a blessing if they don't get the MNF package when it renews.

Hate to even mention this, but...as far as I know, Tomase has never in any way indicated that Walsh was his source. That was just a big fat assumption on everybody's part. So this really changes nothing where he's concerned.
His source was Marshall Faulk. Or maybe it was Mike Martz.
Corroborated by Tom Jackson, Gregg Easterbrook, and Mike Fish.

And Arlen Spector talked to all of them:D

True, but again if not for the nfl, I would not watch espn.. Though I like Colin Cowherd...

And the only others Spector talked to were employees of Comcast or their legal/lobbyist firm.

I am on the "Let's take 'em all down" bandwagon if this does not get fair treatment. The media HAS to report this, don't they? I mean, the facts are all stated right there. Guys like Mike Greenberg, who are admitted pats' haters, have to even see it. Don't they? I suppose they could point to this part of the article

Based on a win-loss tally from games after the ones on tapes provided by Walsh, the Patriots went 9-6 against the Dolphins after the first taping. They also went 12-1 against the Bills, 3-0 against the Browns, 4-1 against the Steelers and 3-1 against the Chargers. This included three victories and no defeats in the playoffs.

However, one would also have to point out that the Phins, Chargers, and Steelers Bills, and Browns have had some pretty underwhelming seasons over the years between the start of the taping incidents (2000) and this past September. Also, how many of those teams have had coaching regime changes which would render these films obsolete anyway?

This will be interesting to watch and it would not surprise me to see a Pats love-fest on ESPN between now and the start of the season to help mend fences.

Yeah, I used to watch NFL Live alot, but I watch Total Access on the NFLN more now. And it had nothing to do with any Patriot hating. Mark Schlereth just made me dumber for watching him. I think his stupidity is contageous.

iam quite sure kraft lobbied for minimal MNF games because of ESPN, the reason we have only 1 this yr.
