Round One
1. Miami - LT Jake Long, Michigan
The Dolphins make Long the cornerstone of their franchise.
2. St. Louis - DT Glenn Dorsey, LSU
Dorsey can single-handedly change the face of the Rams D.
3. *NY Jets - RB Darren McFadden, Arkansas
After doing their homework on DMc, they move aggressively.
4. Oakland - DT Sedrick Ellis, USC
Their scouts/coaches, once again, will go with a familiar player.
5. Kansas City - DE Chris Long, Virginia
With Jared Allen on the trade block, Long might be an upgrade.
6. *Atlanta - CB Leodis McKelvin, Troy
Falcons are zeroed in on McKelvin and searching for a trade partner.
7. New England - DB Dominique-Rodgers Cromartie, TSU
With all due respect to Law/Samuel, the most gifted Patriot CB ever!
8. Baltimore - QB Matt Ryan, BC
The retirement of Steve McNair forces the Ravens to pick him.
9. Cincinnati - DE Vernon Gholston, OSU
Having been tagged as "overrated," his brief slide shouldn't surprise.
10. New Orleans - LB Keith Rivers, USC
Saints are looking to trade up but Gholston or Rivers may fall to them.
11. Buffalo - WR Devin Thomas, Michigan State
The Bills have brought in this Combine stud for another predraft visit.
12. Denver - RB Rashard Mendenhall, Illinois
Despite some late-round "finds," they've never replaced Terrell Davis.
13. Carolina - DE Derrick Harvey, Florida
Taking a page from the Giants, Harvey will pair with Julius Peppers.
14. Chicago - LT Ryan Clady, Boise State
Rumored to like Chris Williams, but Clady is clearly rated higher.
15. Detroit - DB Mike Jenkins, USF
The Lions are trying to bring in players, like Jenkins, with ball skills.
16. Arizona - LB Dan Connor, PSU
The Cardinals could go a lot of ways but the versatile Connors is it.
17. Minnesota – DE Quintin Groves, Auburn
Medical red flags make Groves an early steal for the Vikings.
18. Houston - RB Jonathan Stewart, Oregon
Snatching up the draft's most powerful back is a nice roll of the dice.
19. Philadelphia - OG Brendan Albert, UV
Some have him going as high as the top ten. That's a big stretch.
20. Tampa Bay - CB Antoine Cason, Arizona
They have eyes for Mike Jenkins but will have to trade up for him.
21. Washington - DL Kentwan Balmer, NC
Balmer might help along the line, both on the inside and outside.
22. Dallas - WR DeSean Jackson, Cal
Terry Glen is on his last legs and Jackson is a big time playmaker.
23. Pittsburgh - LT Jeff Otah, Pittsburgh
Looking to land a big-ugly, the Steelers can take Williams or Otah.
24. Tennessee - LT Chris Williams, Vandy
Look for the Titans to beef up their offensive line with Williams.
25. Seatle - RB Felix Jones, Arkansas
Drafting Jones spells the end of Shaun Alexander's Seahawk career.
26. Jacksonville - DE Phillip Merling, Clemson
The Jags have to be hoping that either Merling or Groves is available.
27. San Diego - DT Trevor Laws, Notre Dame
Laws could help sure up a line that has become suddenly suspect.
28. Dallas – DB Reggie Smith, Oklahoma
Whether they land Pacman Jones or not, Smith makes good sense.
29. San Francisco - RT Gosder Cherilus, BC
This would be the best move for them. But it's the 49ers so, who knows!
30. Green Bay - LB Jerod Mayo, UT
Opinions vary on Mayo. The Packers may draft to their strength.
31. NY Giants - WR Limas Sweed, Texas
Plasico Burress can't stay off the IR. Sweed makes a nice replacement.
