There is not too many FA wideout and we aren't using the 7th on a WR. So what will we do if that happens. Of course, we should probably make a run at Chad Johnson. Who really knows though?

We aren't going anywhere next year with this wr core:

1. Welker
2. Jackson
3. Washington

Welcome back, Reche Caldwell!

David Patten is available too..

im wondering the same thing, who do they plan to bring in if we loose both, its not going to make brady happy if we loose them.

Troy Brown becomes comeback player of the year.

Ocho Chinco in a trade for picks??

That seems pretty plausible to me.

I think Tennessee cut David Givens, if he is healthy he could possibly be an option.

not go shotgun on 3rd and short?

i think we'll get by.

That's a little better than '06 when we went into the season with:

1. Caldwell
2. Gabriel
3. Jackson

We'll sign or trade for someone else. We are in the third day of free agency. We will NOT make the same mistake we made last time and wait until July before we realized that we needed to replace Givens and Branch.

Like my heroes Pinky and the Brain, I'll drink a 6 pack and devise a new plan to take over the world.

Go back to the screen passing game and win another Super Bowl

I dont know why people think Chad Johnson is going to be easy to get from the Bengals??

Gee I see people saying we are trading for Johnson, Taylor , Hall or Lito Shepard.. Where are these picks coming from, and we do need to start drafting LB's.. FA is a way to keep our WR in tack.

And also for people who think the Bengals would just trade Johnson to the Pats, why would the Bengals do the Pats any favors???

I guess it could be worse.

All of the Bears currently signed recievers have 43 career receptions combined.

For a couple of picks to fix their front 7.

This was written of Chad Johnson's wikipedia page for what it's worth:

On March 2, 2008, Rumors were amid that infact the New England Patriots were not instrested in brining back Randy Moss because they were engaged in trade talks with the Cincinnati Bengals about a trade for Chad Johnson. The early reports from the AP say the Pats will give up a 2nd and 3rd round pick from this upcoming draft and a 2nd round pick in 09' to aquire the disgruntled Johnson.

Otherwise, it's welcome back Reche:rocker:

That's right. The Bengals are trying to build a 3-4 defence. Chad Johnson turned into a late second draft pick does a lot to help that, without hurting their offense that much. As the draft approaches, there is no way Cincy will resist the lure of acquiring additional picks.

That's too high a price. We'd be better off drafting three WRs with those picks.
