Here's the real Polian

If you read the article I don't think Polian actually said the part about the audibles, I think the author just tried to make it look that way.

I would agree. Polian is a jerk of the first order but he is not stupid.

Anyone who thinks video taping defensive signals and studying them will allow you to discover the logic behind verbal calls of offensive plays is an idiot. That is clearly the author of the article making that leap.

lol, so now we tape the opposing OFFENSE, and defenes?

haha, let me guess, we also bug the special teams coach right?

No, I didn't read that part, and neither did you.

Is there an adult at home right now? have him or her read it and explain it to you.

I'd say I'm way ahead of you as far as reading English goes. And writing it too.

He thinks it was gathered for the purposes of future games. Polian said videotape of sideline signals could be conceivably matched to game footage to decipher codes. Such a process might provide the type of advantage former Patriots linebacker Ted Johnson described during an interview with USA TODAY shortly after he retired in 2005. 'Every now and then I'd get a sheet, one hour before the game, with a list of audibles for our opponent,' Johnson said in November 2005. 'I don't know how, but they just showed up.'

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I'm not quite following how the videotaping of an opponent's defensive signals results in figuring out what that opponent's offensive audibles are.

it doesnt and nor does polian imply. the article author just wrote the line since it said something about BB/pats

I am going to just keep driving home the same point until these media idiots drop this kaka:

IT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE HOW MUCH INFO YOU HAVE.

NO ONE IN THE NFL IS FOOLING ANYONE ELSE. THEY ALL KNOW WHAT EACH OTHER IS DOING AND LIKES TO DO.

IT ALL COMES DOWN TO EXECUTION ON THE FIELD.

PERIOD.
