So serendipitous series of events has my 14 YO son and I in the Green Room for the Maxwell Awards. Business thing.

I had no idea they also have a pro football player of the year award.

Drake won it this year and is confirmed to attend and accept.

We already knew we’d get to meet Mendoza and the other award winners, but super cool coincidence that Drake won this year.

If you had a chance to meet Drake briefly, what would you say?

(This is more for fun as I already know we’ll just thank him for a great season and wish him well)

I'd pretty much say the same although since I live in New England I might also say sorry about our weather.

I've had a chance to talk to NFL players in the past, but left them alone. I walked passed Terrell Owens at a restaurant in LA. I just don't see a point in disturbing him.

I saw TJ Houshmanzadah at the grocery store a few months ago. It took me a minute to figure it out, but decided not to bother him. He's a big dude. He looked like a TE. He's listed at 6'1", but he seemed like the same height as myself about 6'3".

The only player I decided to talk to was Julius Jones at the Dallas Galleria mall his rookie year in 2004 where I asked him when he was going to play? He told me that he was ready to play against the Eagles on MNF and that the Cowboys were going to announce him playing at the last second, but it didn't happen. He played the following week. Very nice guy.

If I were in the same room as Maye and had the chance to talk to him, I'd just tell him he had a great year, should've won the MVP and wish him the best.

“Love your wife’s cooking channel! How do you stay in playing shape living with her cooking?”

Then shut up and listen….

Very cool man, let us know how it goes

Do not go with will you sign my buttcheek.

Very cool man, enjoy

Ask for cookies.

Seriously, though, pretty cool.

Other than playing against future NFL players, my favorite NFL interaction was hanging out with some of the Virginia Beach based players in the 1980s when I was a kid. My father used to lift weights with some of them. The one I remember and interacted with the most was DJ Dozier. Cool dude back in the day.

Please don't embarrass us by saying something from one of your posts.

What do you think of your guy Brazzel?

His frame gives me pause but dang he sure can splash with some plays

Wtf?

‘You must have had a long journey here, from Byron Murphy’s back pocket…’

My unusual Patriots interactions...

- Met Bob Kraft in a dark alley in the middle of winter around 11 PM, in Boston...alone.
- Andre Tippett physically beat the crap out of me when I was 15 years old...with witnesses.

Remind him Tom Brady won his last three rings here because he took less money, tell him to learn how the salary cap works and to make his money in endorsements. And bring a rookie card to get signed.

Love him, great hands and lots of mobility. Wide range, I’m a fan of him

Bravo
That sounds like a night to remember
Ask Drake how old was he before he could start to be competitive playing his brothers

Post pictures please
