2026 Mock Draft Thread

3 round mock from Chad Reuter at NFL.com:

He has the Pats taking:

31. Christen Miller, DT, Georgia
63. Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona St.
95. Bryce Lance, WR, N. Dakota St.

I love Iheanachor, not as keen on the other 2 picks.

Of note:

33. Peter Woods
37. Monroe Freeling
38. Emmanuel Pregnon
40. Akheem Mesidor
47. Caleb Banks
54. TJ Parker
56. Jacob Rodriguez
61. DeZhaun Stribling
66. Keionte Scott
78. Jake Golday
79. Chris Bell
81. Treydan Stukes
93. Zakee Wheatley
99. Charles Demmings

No Ted Hurst, Devin Moore, Kyle Louis or Dametrious Crownover in the top 100.

This is almost a dream scenario:

1. At 31 Monroe Freeling, Max Iheanachor, Caleb Banks, Akheem Mesidor and TJ Parker are all on the board. Banks is my BPA, Freeling my MVP, the others close behind. After the SB I take Freeling.

2. Should we trade up from 63 when players fall? I'd trade a 4th to move up for Banks. Mesidor at 40 probably out of range.

3. If I stand At 63, do we double up on OL with Iheanachor? An OL of Freeling-Campbell-Wilson-RG-Iheanachor would be dominant. Jake Golday, Chris Bell, Keionte Scott and Treydan Stukes are all worthy. But if I can't trade up for Caleb Banks, I'm going with Iheanachor.

4. At 95 it's between Devin Moore and Ted Hurst. I'm a defense guy, but I'm going with Hurst. Drake May needs a WR like Hurst more than yhe Pats defense needs Devin Moore.

5. At this point my goal is to find a way to get Devin Moore and Kyle Louis. Trade up as needed. Maybe some late values if anything is left. Cyrus Allen and VJ Payne would be nice. But the rest is gravy.

Freeling-Campbell-Wilson-RG-Iheanachor

Ted Hurst

Louis-Moore on defense, plus a UFA EDGE.

That would rock.

Great post.

I would like to add some leadership to the OL with Linderbaum. Can Wilson play RG?

Feeling - Campbell - Linderbaum - Wilson - Iheanachor. That looks amazing to me if Wilson can play RG.

I agree with @One-If-By-Sea , @mayoclinic and @MrTibbs

1. I do think there's merit in playing Wilson at RG. Firstly, with the addition of Linderbaum, that's a super athletic OL. Also, if Wilson has a years experience at RG, at the very least his career will be an interior OL supersub able to back up all three interior positions.

2. Linderbaum would be an excellent addition but, if he makes it to FA, a very expensive and popular one. There's no guarantee we win a bidding war.

3. Yes we can afford that if we cut Onwenu. However, he has been our best OL and it would cause even more disruption. He's here for one more year - we can find his replacement next year.

4. Adding Freeling, shifting Campbell and Wilson inside, drafting Moses' future replacement while keeping Onwenu and Moses is the least disruptive fix (other than the status quo). It puts people in their best positions.

5. While there is draft capital cost this year, in my mock it used up three premium draft picks, it upgrades three OL positions, costs very little extra in terms of salary and means no later round picks need to be used on the OL*. Assuming it all works out, the OL project is finished for the forseeable future.

* Assuming we re-sign Onwenu long-term to a more friendly contract.

So who can we trade our 2031 1st rounder for?

Field Yates mock:

I hate 16, 17, 19 and 23, but I could live with it. Lomu my #3 OT after Freeling and Iheanachor.

I was thinking about the summer scouting big boards and realised you could come up with almost a 4 round mock based just upon prospects that were in the pre-season top 50s.

RD 1. Peter Woods or TJ Parker
RD 2. Antonio Williams
RD 3. Connor Lew
RD 4. Isaiah World

World is my least favourite pick there but that wouldn't be a terrible draft. Not perfect, but far from terrible. I also really like the value in Connor Lew if he's there in the 4th. He didn't make Brugler's top 100.

I expect our draft to look something like this.
Not sexy, and you can replace some of these names with other guys, but I would be happy if our draft was like this.

It's always hard with simulators, but I would say that those first four picks all undervalue where those players go on the day. Anything is possible of course, but I wouldn't hold out much hope for it.

A boy can dream!
But yes, I realize the rankings are incredibly dynamic.

James Foster's mock draft 1.

Has us taking Mesidor which surprised me as both James and Kinnen aren't fans. Monroe Freeling goes 6 to the Browns, a pick Mayo has as a possibility.
