I bet all are trying to find some kind of loophole now to stay in school. Just thinking of the Jets possibility: what a terribly run organization. The bad news, is that one of the following will almost certainly be a Jet next season
Arvell Reese
David Bailey
Reuben Bain
Carnell Tate
Jordan Tyson
Don't the Jets have 3 R1 picks this year? I am guessing they will go QB next year when they have 2 more R1 picks and the QB class will be stronger.I bet all are trying to find some kind of loophole now to stay in school. Just thinking of the Jets possibility: what a terribly run organization.
They are already in Tank mode for the 2027 Draft.Don't the Jets have 3 R1 picks this year? I am guessing they will go QB next year when they have 2 more R1 picks and the QB class will be stronger.
It's the other way round. 2 this year, 3 next. They have more than enough weapons for trade so long as, any team they want to trade up to doesn't equally need a QB.Don't the Jets have 3 R1 picks this year? Pick 33 is way too valuable to use in a trade up scenario. It's the other way round. 2 this year, 3 next. They have more than enough weapons for trade so long as, any team they want to trade up to doesn't equally need a QB.
Edit: Although, the Jets do have pick 33 this year so effectively they have 3 firsts this year too.
There was a post on X about QB's with only so many starts, and being only so old, getting drafted in the 1st round and amounted to nothing.Dante Moore Ponders stay in school or get Drafted by the Jets.
That depends on who you're trading up for doesn't it? Also, I don't think the question is about them trading up next year, but having the tools to trade up next year for a QB if the Jets fall outside the top 2 or 3 spots.Pick 33 is way too valuable to use in a trade up scenario.
The JETE were really bad at the end of the 2025 season. Sign a crap QB. Only sign your own FAs (like the Pats did). And the 2026 rookies will not carry the team. Wait 1 year, sign FAs, have the #1 pick, get the QB plus 2 others in R1, and the fan base will be excited. At least for the first 8 games. LOL. The QB will collapse, etc. That depends on who you're trading up for doesn't it? It will be interesting to see which FA QB they go after this year. They are going about things the right way. Amass key picks to draft players to put around their new QB. Have a good OL to protect your rookie QB. Have sufficient FA funds to pull a Vrabel. How all that works out is a different matter though. The JETE were really bad at the end of the 2025 season. I just think when you have a whole night to sleep on it and knowing there's going to be at least a few 1st rounders that slipped thru the cracks. You will have plenty of teams calling for that pick the next day. That depends on who you're trading up for doesn't it? You're not wrong but what if you could use that pick to trade up for a Carnell Tate/Jordyn Tyson to go along with your elite guy at 2 whether it be Bain, Bailey or Reese? They also have pick 44 so they're not losing too much.I

They seem to be going the patient route. Very interesting. Seem to be really restructuring, planning, etc. The only thing that didn't make sense is holding onto B Hall.It will be interesting to see which FA QB they go after this year. If I was rebuilding from scratch, it's how I'd do it. Maybe they intend to keep Hall - they can afford to franchise him. They seem to be going the patient route. Very interesting. Seem to be really restructuring, planning, etc. The only thing that didn't make sense is holding onto B Hall.
Could be planning to try to keep him to meet the minimum spending clause under the bargaining agreement. But RBs have a short shelf life so I am not sure that is the guy to keep.If I was rebuilding from scratch, it's how I'd do it. Maybe they intend to keep Hall - they can afford to franchise him.
