Check out this weeks Mic'd up with Rhamondre, its very good. I will say I was one for calling for him to be shipped out of town for all the fumbling early in the season. I still believe if a skill player cant hang on to the ball they have little value. However, he has most certainly redeemed himself and had probably the best game of his career against the Dolphins. If he can keep giving this effort in the post season I am all for having him back in the upcoming season. He has all the tools you want from a back and the right attitude. I hope the fumbling issues are behind him.

Most impressive in this video is his blocking......he laid the wood several times.

He’s a good RB who went through a tough stretch.
I never called for him to be sent packing, but I understand why some did.
Playoff games outdoors in less than ideal weather, he’s exactly the type of back you need.
Glad to have him, he’s playing great.

I'd really like to know what/how the team/coaching staff did to help Rham turn things around. Vrabes and others on the coaching staff get a ton of credit....but Rham gets the most. He was in a bad place earlier this year and now he looks like an All-Pro.

Also read Ivan (who can't walk well anymore) has been at practice in a golf cart busting Rham's chops/offering encouragement.

After the personal tragedy , he has come along really well . It's not that easy to isolate personal and professional boundaries . Somewhere those words collide.

I did not want him shipped out but was not sure about his future. Now looks to be a keeper. Though a tad overpaid with his current performance. If he keeps up the play for the last 3 games into next year , we might have got a steal of a contract.

If you go back and look at most of the fumbles it was getting punched out or by contact. I don't think he handles the ball loosely it was just bad timing that it kept happening during a short timeframe which most certainly impacted him mentally. I am sure the coaches and him reviewed the fumbles and worked to minimize the risk. I also think after the last few weeks (especially after the Miami game) that his confidence is back and he is looking great. He showed last Sunday that he is still the #1 back and is the more complete package. We will need his A game in the post season.

I think there’s a couple key things.
Fumbling is most mental, all RBs are strong enough to protect the ball most of the time, so I assume they built up his confidence, and just had him focus on his technique.
Secondly, and probably just as important, the team and Oline have been much better in the run game.
I can’t imagine it’s easy for a RB to be thinking about getting hit at or behind the LOS on every play. When you actually have holes to run through and aren’t worried about making someone miss immediately after taking the ball, that has to free your mind and add confidence which permeates through the rest of his game.

Rham is one of the Best Pass Blockers from the RB position rarely misses his assignment. And his receiving skills are like a WR T Henderson have a good mentor.

The fumbles were the issue. You just cant turnover the ball. Rham led the league in fumbles last year I believe. He was off to another similar campaign before he cleaned it up. Coach right there in his ear though letting him know it cant resurface.

Rhamondre’s 2022 season, he looked like a top 10 NFL RB. Last Sunday was the first time I saw him look like that again. Hopefully he continues his great play in the playoffs.

Yes. fumbling is technique, fundamentals and confidence.

The question is what did the coaching staff do?

Personally I think Rham tried to do too much which caused the fumbling. Akin to a QB trying to do too much and fumbling and throwing picks

Going from Rham to Henderson: Defense no Downs off.

I admit it. I gave up on him. Glad we still have him. Not just the running. He is a true 3 down back. This morning, I saw one of those "click on me" articles listing the best 32 running backs. Henderson was in the teens. I didn't see any Stevenson mention at all.

Early on in the season, I had RB high on my list of needs for the team.

Now that we are eliminating turnovers, other areas are of primary importance.

Rham and Trey is a quality duo. If we can shore up the line then we might have something cooking.

In many respects it is akin to Kevin Faulk. He had 9 fumbles his first 2 years (4.5 per year) and people were screaming to cut him. Then he had 16 over his next 8 years ( 2 per year) and it wasnt an issue....
Now if he didn't smoke that joint and get suspended for game 1 of 2008 and he is in there doing blitz pickup and maybe TB doesnt get his knee blown out..... but that's another story... butterfly effect

WHAT A GAME!

3-TD's
WR pass routes
long runs for TDs
move the pile runs
highlight real PASS BLOCKS
138 yds on just SEVEN carries

If he isn't the offensive player of the week, THAT will be the true awards robbery of the week,

I was strongly against the tide that wanted him gone, BUT I was OK with having him move on after this season and making a big push for BHall in FA. I thought Hall would be a big up grade. With the improvements we are likely to see in the overall offense this off season, we are likely to be, at worst, just as good in the run game as we would be WITH Hall, if not better. He and Linderbaum were my top big name FA targets. And given Bradbury's season, I'm wondering now if we should overpay for Linderbaum.

BlTW - given all the questions surrounding the Ravens now, it looks more likely he's going to want to hit FA

I really like our RB room right now with Rham, Tre and Gibson. As long as the Oline is able to open some holes, I think we'll continue to be able to run the ball.

Always thought he was overhated here. The contract they gave him was premature and he's overpaid, but that position makes relative peanuts and we have globs of cap space so even though I grade the move harshly on the front office, it's ultimately pretty inconsequential. He's a good, versatile running back and there's no real money to be saved by cutting or trading him this offseason. When he was fumbling to the point of being unplayable it made sense, but once that got sorted out I don't understand why anyone wouldn't be penciling him onto the roster next year. I guess maaaaaaaaaybe if they signed someone like Breece Hall and planned to expand Henderson's role they might give him a chance to find more playing time elsewhere, but even then you can rotate 3 guys at that position and you're one injury away (at a position where those are frequent) from needing him a lot.
