I seem to remember a lot of posts about avoiding a game in Denver.
Those folks are living in the past. Though, that altitude & defense will be a challenge, ultimately Nix will be their downfall.

Nix is not a top QB, but he is a gamer and I think he gets way too much flak.
He's inconsistent, but he's resilient, and I think he could end up better than a lot of us originally thought.

He’s solid for sure. I like Nix; he is a gamer, but he’s a trailer QB (much like Purdy, Hurts, Goff, Darnold etc…) You can certainly win with them, but they need pretty much everything perfectly assembled around them. Denver has a HOF coach, the best OL, solid offense, very good special teams, a great defense statistically & sort of a cheat code home field advantage. That being said, if you can take away his short/intermediate stuff, get a lead & make him have to win the game throwing…he’s food. He averages 6.4 ypa lol, his receivers/rbs are mid & they just lost their starting center for the year. They’ll be a tough out, but we just saw JAX put belt to ass & they’ve been winning games by the skin of their teeth all year. That usually doesn’t end well. They can/will be had by a team who can run effectively, negate their strengths defensively (pass rush/secondary) & score 25+ points in the playoffs…

I agree with everything you said.
It's just that when we all talk about Denver, we talk of them winning despite Nix, and when I've watched Denver this year (which is quite a bit), he has moments where he's a tough SOB and makes plays when he has to.
We can talk about the situation he is in with his Oline, defense and coach, but that's no different than people talking about our easy schedule. You play who play, you play with who lines up with you, you play under whatever scheme and coach you have.
I'm not going to fault Nix for being in an ideal spot, he takes advantage of the cards in his hand.

True..one question though: What’s the weakest link on that team?

Their rushing offense, it's worse than ours.
They are 10th in the league in passing yards per game.
That's what I mean, if you look into the numbers Nix is top 8 in yards, TDs and Ints. He's also good using his legs when he needs to.
He's not a top 5 guy, and probably never will be, but he can be top 10 and with the situation he is in, that's a good spot to be in.

Fair. As I stated, I like Nix & I do agree that he’s nowhere near as bad as many make him out to be. However, as you stated, that lack of running game will be their undoing because eventually Nix is gonna have to win the game himself by throwing 30+ times & I’m not so sure he can. Hell, I’m not even sure if Payton thinks he can…but I digress. The good thing about is that we’ll get to see how it all plays out soon. What I’m ultimately interested in is what happens after they pay him after his rookie contract. That’s when we get to differentiate the trailers from the true tractors. Maye is already clearly a tractor QB.

For all the flak that the Pats get about their schedule strength... look at this Strength of schedule for all 32 teams based on the teams they played... YES, the Pat's have played the "easiest" schedule... but right above them is the Broncos (2nd easiest) Bills 4th easiest, Chargers and Bears are at the bottom as well, so these teams aren't as scary now that i know they are beating bad teams and the Bronco are BARELY beating them, vs the Pats winning by bigger margins AND undefeated on the road... so far..I think this list is through last weekend, (Week 16), so didn't include yesterday's games...

You showed a chart of numbers without a grading of what the number represents. Kind of hard to draw a conclusion

Nix is better than good. He is outstanding. No one better at throwing on the run or scrambling.
He has the clutch gene. Outstanding leader. He is probably top 7 and elite
Hey Sam didn’t you make a bet that the Patriots wouldn’t make the playoffs and if they did you would never post hear again?
Are you dishonest in addition to knowing nothing about the team?
I expect you to honor your bet

The Bronco's in Denver won't be easy, but the Patriots can definitely beat them. The bottom line is that Drake Maye has them in any game, no matter who, no matter where.

I think you Mac Jones him. Clog the middle of the field, make him throw down the field and outside the hashes. Gonzalez can take Sutton out of the game. Their defense will be tough, but I'm confident. That MacDaniels and Marrone can protect him, especially orally if they have Campbell back.

Maye is clearly better throwing on the run and scrambling than Nix is. Maye is hitting receivers 30-50 yards downfield on the run, not 4 yards past the line of scrimmage. As usual your bias is making you look like an idiot. Your anti Patriot bias shines through as always.
