This is what we miss from the pre 2020 Bill days taking away what teams do best. Like the 1st game against the Bills, stopping the run game would've been a heavy emphasis putting the Bills in less favorable passing situations. Bills OL bullied the Pats front 7 game all game long.

He's to have held a lot better this year than in previous years. Prior to this season, he was regularly getting Moss'd.

If the Trey Hendrickson is willing to commit to a shorter team deal, he's my #1 guy on defense. I'm a big fan of that guy. I've watched him a lot during his New Orleans days and he's one of the rare guys that got under Tom Brady's skin. He's been a beast in Cincy. He's very similar to Simeon Rice where he'd take a contending team and put the defense over the top.
Simeon rice wow now that's a name!!! I like Hendrickson.. he's still a dam good pass rusher at his age and I'm sure he'd love to get away from that **** show in Cincy?

I'm going say Barmore missing Today is precautionary. Also I didn't like the flex but now eight extra hours can make a Big difference. This Team needed a night Game the way the injuries are pillin up.
I just hope Henry doesn't run all night..

Of course they matter, what does it matter as to WHO gets them though?
Tommy I'm just making a point that of course gonzo is a great player.. however the secondary is lacking in TOs.. we've had years where the front 7 wasn't all that but we turned the ball over.. 2010 we led the league I believe in TOs.. with D. Mcourty as a rookie.. we need to start turning the ball over more it would really help the team as a whole.

I think the focus on turning over the ball has a direct effect one he lack of tackling ability, I think that when we see players not tackling well we also see them focusing on trying to strip the ball. Sometimes a good tackle is better.

To be fair, those defenses were so porous. Turnovers were damn near a necessity and the offense was off-the-charts, often playing with the lead.

I would say this entire defense is lacking in turnovers. Sometimes your corners are so good that, if I can avoid them all day as an opposing QB, because I can hit my TE's over the middle or some ****, I'm gonna just simply do that.

I don't disagree that this defense needs to steal the ball more, but the key word for me there is defense - as a whole.

Let's see if this ridiculously poor defense can contain BALTIMORE.
I'll be convinced, if they put up a good effort through 4 quarters.
Which they haven't done.

Are QBs throwing at Gonzo?

I know that in quite a few games QBs avoid his side of the field.

He's only allowing a 44% completion rate.. QBs avoid him primarily.. ideally such a weapon like gonzo you'd love to move him around in the secondary so he can gamble more and pick off passes.. as I've accepted and acknowledged the added pass rush won't improve until next season once we can get some edge demons in here..

Good points. To be clear. The defense has fared well with what they have yo work with. The fact gonzo is a still having a solid season with no pass rush help like his contemporaries Stingley Jr and Surtain is impressive. That fact alone warrants him a new contract.
