They need to get the ball out quick. Run the ball (or try) down the Bills throats. The OL will be an issue until the postseason starts.

On defense, I would stack the box and force those average at best receivers to beat them.

@neuronet - Playing for the Division Championship and getting into the play-offs for THIS week, is a good thing. It's not "nonsense". It's an accomplishment that is needed to help them control their own destiny. What's nonsense is thinking that he should be looking ahead into the play-offs.

A loss for the Bills makes it much harder for them to even make it into the play-offs. They will have to fight against the Chargers, Houston, and Indy for a Wild Card Spot. It puts so much MORE pressure on them.
Indy is essentially done.

Bills aren't losing to Cleveland and the Jets. At worst they end up with six losses. They are definitely getting in. The question is which seed.

Yes, BUF could lose all of its 4 games and then likely miss the playoffs.

You can call this pressure if you choose. They would be 94% even with a loss to us.

Bills might be the 2018 pats. not much going on in regular season except the QB and couple of weapons but got hot late and figured out a way to win. one big difference is we had a bye.
That's an insult to the 2018 Pats who had been to 3 previous Super Bowls and won 2. The only thing the Bills know how to do is lose in the playoffs. Like the Chiefs, people didn't want to admit the Bills rosters were awful and it was swept under the rug because other teams were horrible. Bad drafts eventually catch up to teams. Pats made moves and Maye ascended which is why they are ahead of Buffalo much like how Indy came out of nowhere in 1999. This upcoming game is going to tell us a lot.

I said that during the preseason. The Bills roster isn't great at all especially at receiver, defensive line and the secondary. Also people need to look at the coaching. The Patriots have 5 former head coaches on staff along with an OC who has seen it all. Josh has coached in multiple playoff games and multiple super bowls. That should count for something. I don't think anyone on the Bills roster has sniffed a Super Bowl except Mcdermott with the Panthers in a loss to the Pats in 2003.

Josh Allen always gives the Bills a chance just like Brady did here for us and Maye is on the way to being regardless of the talent around them on offense.

Pressuring Allen and keeping him in the pocket is key. Can't let him take the game over. I believe on offense, the run game is key. The Pats must establish the run early including using Maye's ability.

Bills are going to try to run all over us esp on zone runs...we have been vulnerable against it.

Agreed. My biggest concern is the Prairie Cows ground game, especially with Allen improvising out of the pocket. The Pats need to get some big hits on that guy.

and on the other end, McDermott is going to be determined to stop the drake maye rollouts . those have been a big part of our offense.

I don't know what forecast you're looking at -- or is this just fearful thinking?

The NWS forecast is the day's high at 31 degrees (below freezing) and a low of 12. Morning snow showers, chance of precipitation at 35 percent.

AM Snow Showers

I was looking at my iPhone weather exactly as snip that posted 30-40 posts ago. Go look, if care to argue about changing data.

Snip said 1C at 13:00 = game time. And rain was 80% at 12/ 60% for whole day.

Naturally, you looking 1 day later is 24 hours + the EUR -USA time shift so 30 + hours closer to a decently reliable prediction (Which probably won’t happen til Saturday. ).

….
[edit: I really was trying to talk about Maye throwing in wet conditions and not the weather; but go down that hole if you want Alice.]

Here is another gem from the billdos, figured I would stoke the fire a little since we got a few days before the game.

Just beat a better offense without Bosa??????

Pats rushing rank #21 112.9 yards per game
Bengals rushing rank #30 86.5 yards per game

Pats pass ranking #2 249.7 yards per game
Bengals pass ranking #10 228.8 yards per game

Pats overall offense ranking #8 362.6 yards per game
Bengals overall offense ranking #21 315.2 yards per game

So please help me understand how they just beat a better offense? Because Burrow came back? And gifted them the game but we are the lucky team according to them. They sippin too much of the kool-aid.

They don't get in if Houston and the Chargers have a better record.

If you think that Buffalo isn't under pressure to win, you don't understand the game at all despite your 20+ years of posting.

Anyway, I'm not totally shocked to see that the Patriots are an underdog here and that's mostly because I'm still not sure how good they are. For the most part, I feel like I can tell if a team is any good after FOURTEEN WEEKS, but with the Patriots, I still have no idea. There are 14 teams in the NFL this year with eight or more wins and the Patriots have somehow only faced one of those teams (They beat the Bills 23-20 back in Week 5).

There are nine teams averaging more than 25 points per game this year, the Patriots have faced exactly one of them (The Bills). There are 13 defenses in the NFL giving up less than 22 points per game and the Patriots have faced ZERO of them. I think what I'm trying to say here is that the Patriots haven't really been tested.

A big reason the Patriots won the first meeting is because the Bills turned the ball over three times and that's likely going to decide who wins this game. The Bills have been sloppy at times this year: They've had six games with two or more turnovers and they've gone 2-4 in those games. In the seven games where they've turned the ball over one or zero times, they've gone 7-0.

If Buffalo loses this game, the Patriots will clinch the AFC East title and they'll pull off their first sweep of the Bills since 2019. What this means is that the Bills are going to be desperate and I can't pick against a desperate Josh Allen.

PICK: Bills 27-20 over Patriots

I know, I wasn’t meaning to create a weather debate. Sooner or later Maye needs to acclimate to crap conditions in Foxboro. It reminds me of that BB team meeting video where he was showing film of a sleet/snow game and declared, "We are not afraid to throw the ball in these conditions." I imagine Vrabel is similarly on top of things.

That isn't that cold at all.

2 hot chocolates ought to get him through.

We will find out Sunday who the Bills and Patriots really are.
I’m not sure I agree with that, if the Bills win I’m not going to think oh well the Bills are the better team, we will still be ahead of them, we split the regular season 1-1. At that point it’s ok see you for the third round in the playoffs.
