2026 Draft: LT

That post was from a month ago. Since then, Will Campbell has blown that thought out of the water.

The only reason to look at current LT prospects, IMO, is to see whether they might be fits at either RT or G.

We have our LT for the next 10-15 years.

Also we're just one week away from Brian Parker's 2 year sackaversary. No sack next week and he'd have gone 2 years without a sack.
I've just noticed that Duke aren't playing today so Happy two year Sackaversary Brian Parker.

Smith undoubtedly good, though not his strongest test this week.

@mayoclinic

I thought you might be interested. Trevor Sikkema talks about Niki Prongos in his latest podcast. Says he has a future as a starting OT in the NFL.

Watch it at 1:06:38 . Hopefully the link takes you straight there.

Thanks, Manx.

I'm not a huge Trevor Sikkema fan, but I think he is right on with this one:

- Prongos raw and inconsistent, awkward at times. Probably needs another year in school.

- Has traits and athleticism that can't be taught. Rapid trajectory, huge upside.

- Agree about trying not to get ahead on him. Needs patience.

Like Monroe Freeling (who is far more developed), Prongos "looks the part" to me.

Dane Brugler mentioned that scouts don't think Caleb Lomu will declare for the draft. It's not the first time I've heard it. I am so grateful we got our LT last year.

This is what athleticism does for you. Helps you shut down one of the most athletic pass rushers.

Speed on speed. Not Goosby's issue.

He should be good, but needs to add more power. Rueben Bain would just break him in two and go through the middle.

I think you're being a little rough on him there. Also, strength can be improved. Athleticism and speed can't.

I did say he should be good. I expect him to get stronger, agree he has traits that can't be taught.

Not sure where to put this, but:

Not sure where I want him, but I'd really like him on our OL.

Favorite Combos:

LT Campbell - LG Siereveld - C Wilson - RG TBD - RT Freeling/Prongos

LT Campbell - LG Wilson - C Pieper - RG Siereveld - RT Freeling/Prongos

I wouldn't replace Moses. Bring Freeling in, have him be the swing tackle backup year one with him being Moses' long-term replacement. Moses has been fine.

Markell Bell, LT, Miami (fl)

6'9", 345 lbs.

Zero sacks, 9 pressures all year

I am always amazed where so many of these huge human beings come from.
I can't get over that they find enough people to play basketball. Where are these people? You never see them on the streets - at least here.
