IMO
This weeks practice was for Burrow playing Thursday night against Ravens
With the short week you don’t really practice the week of that game
Playing him 2 games in 4 days is malpractice just returning from a surgically repaired Grade 3 toe turf injury
Like I previously said, they’re a dumb franchise and the coach is fighting for his job.

Love is not the word you're looking for.

Obsessive maybe?

Or maniacal? Yeah, let's go with that one.

If Burrows plays it WON'T be because it's a "must win" situation for the Bengals. They already have 7 losses. They'd have to win out to get to 10-7 it's likely that half the 10-7 teams don't make the dance. If the Bengals went 3-3 to end the season it would be a miracle with that defense. Tom Brady at the peak of his powers would be hard pressed to squeeze 3 wins out of the rest of Cinci's season.

While I don't know if Burrows plays Sunday (I doubt it) I DO know that the reason won't be because they have any playoff hopes.

I'd go with @PatsFan2 having a 'religious fervor' for WR's but that's just me

All this receiver hate. Then when you need 1.....

This is a big deal for the Patriots and put much less stress on the defense with Milton Williams on IR. Burrow, if healthy and on time with his passes can engineer long drives and also hit chunk plays if he has favorable matchups. Flacco is a pest, but is not 100% healthy. He has always had a big arm and loves throw up 50-50 deep passes that the Patriots DBs can contest this year.

The Bengals defense is awful statistically and oddly constructed of multiple players who play the same role making it hard to adjust to a varied offense that can do many things like this Patriots offense that is so incredibly well-structured with skill players who can do so many different things, and a QB who understands how to use it.

The over/under is up to 51.5, two points since Tuesday, and that is not because Cincinnati is going to score more points. Time to go adjust my guess the score to the biggest advantage for the Patriots this year.

Absolutely no shade on the Bengals for playing coy about Burrows, that was the logical thing to do. But now it seems we're back where we started: facing a bad team without its 3 best players. The 7.5-point spread seems modest.

Bengals will still score. Flacco won't miss those open receivers like Fields did. And neither will Taylor when the Pats play the Jete again.

Keeping him back and saving him for the Thursday night game makes sense.

The 7.5 spread with the 51.5 over/under means the betting community is expecting a 22 to 29/30 point game. Without Burrow and Chase, I dont see the Bengals getting 21 points, and I see the Pats getting a lot more than 30, unless it is 28 to 10 game and Vrabel takes his foot off the gas. Vrabel and McDaniel don't run up the score and Flacco with a bad shoulder and without Chase will not score much, so this might be an Under (as the Pats go into prevent), but the point differential will be more than 7.5 for the Pats.

Flacco with a gimpy shoulder means less Jump Ball Joe specials. Or so we’d think…
