Seems like a good time for the team to stop sucking at home.

Gabriel is a game manager type QB but he does have a top weapon Jeudy. Let's see if the Pats can force him into mistakes. Also seems like a good time for the defense to start better than they did on Sunday.

Their defense is no joke. Obliterated the Dolphins. Hopefully Maye can keep up his streak of clean games himself.

Pats are -6.5 favorites for this one. Tbh this one might be an upset alert, hopefully I'm wrong.

Big test for the OL too. Wilson struggling like he did yesterday won’t cut it.

I’m just going to assume the Browns will bank at least 10-13 points in the first half due to our defense inexplicably playing like chumps to start games.

The real battle is Maye versus their defense. Will be a good test.

Ahhh, Cleveland… thinkin bout back in the day when the year was ‘89 , lil Patsy on the grind

Wilson I thought was a little overdue to show some rookie mistakes and we saw that a few times yesterday

I wonder if the focus on the run game diluted their pass protection, but every game starts and ends with the OL's performance.

Every game is a trap game when you're coming off a losing season - I'm sure Vrabel is preaching a "play 60 minutes" approach this week and the need to not have a slow start.

But yeah, I'm fearful of the trap games even against the Jets

we haven't given up a 100 yard rusher yet... Judkins is going to be a load...

I feel we don't stack really well.

Maye has quite a few moneyball throws . Sometimes averages tend to catch up. If they catch up we could see a pick 6 or 2.

I really want to see some catches with nice separation . It could be short passes but ones where there is at least a yard of separation between our receiver and closest defender. Too many precision balls are being tossed by maye. It just seems ridiculous the kind of accuracy he has had so far.

I feel we have just gone away from our screens . I understand maye strength is deep balls. But I am don't like airing out so many 3rd and longs . It's not a recipe for long term success .

I want to see those quick screens and slot throws and tight end seam routes. Hardly see those .

Need to get the home crowd amped up for this one. First home game with a winning record in a while.

I'm sure the Pats will lose a few more games this season. Probably to more experienced teams with solid QB's. Tampa, Buffalo,
Baltimore when Jackson returns.

They cannot let a rookie QB beat them at home. Have to win this one. No excuses.

I am in the Cleveland TV market so I am subject to all of the Browns games. Their offense is truly offensive. All the receivers including Jeudy are playing terrible dropping pass after pass. The offensive line is old and washed up. Both starting tackles have been out and the replacements make V Lowe look like an all pro. The defense is strong and did all the heavy lifting against the Dolphins. They had a pick six and another interception returned to the two so that was 14 of the 31 points. The rookie Judkins is a hard runner but the holes are few. Other than one long TD run he averaged less than 2 yards per carry on his other 24 totes against Miami.

I can't see the Browns being very competitive if the Pats don't turn the ball over. This last game was the first time in the last two years the the Browns defense produced multiple turnovers and that was all on Tua.

Did you read the table you put up? He ran for 100 yards in one game. Patriots are top 5 against the run. Against Miami, who's like the 27th ranked rush defense, he hit one big run, and was 24 rushes for 38 yards the rest of the game.

Don't fall into the BSM trap.

91% completions and a bomb to Boutte isn't good enough now.

I swear, there's something in the water right now.

No I like those. I just feel they are not sustainable. We need to move the chains . We always have one busted play on every drive and maybe drops a bomb on long first down completion.

Somewhere some CB is gonna make a play or the accuracy is gonna be off slightly and you end up being 2 scores behind requiring you to take even more risks.

All I am saying is we should be using this as a weapon when needed , not staple diet. The staple diet needs to be boring runs, zone runs, screens, slot throws and vertical seam routes.

What's not sustainable?

This is the offense.
Drake Maye isn't Tom Brady.
Lots of good offenses play just like this, and I think if you hooked Josh McDaniels up to a lie detector, this is exactly what he wants, and has always wanted. Maye's athleticism is part of the package. He's not going to 7-step dropback, shuffle in the pocket, until he hits his 30s.

Another game the Pats should collect a win.

I am fine with using Maye's athleticism, but why are we not running middle of the field and giving maye some easy throws as opposed to deep long boundary catches in man coverage .

They are? Hunter Henry? Steph Diggs? They get quite a few targets between the hashes.

Maybe we're just not used to guys being able to throw outside the hashes consistently, maybe that's it.

Also, if your receivers and QB are tourching man coverage (they are) then you have to prove you can do it. For a decade, the issue was the Patriots receivers couldn't separate in man coverage. This group can. You beat man coverage, that forces zone, that's when you get the checkdown gimmes in the middle of the field and run the ball.

Agreed. If you're a real contender you gotta win these. Not to say the good contenders don't lose these types of games sometimes, but for the most part these are the games where you gotta stack wins together to get a higher seed. Especially vs a conference opponent with so many other teams nipping at your heels one game behind
