“Able to run”? I don’t think he’s watched a lot of Patriots games this season…

They don't run the ball WELL, but Josh runs the ball EFFECTIVELY. I recall Bill doing a whole Bellistrator Show during the Antonio Smith era when he went on to explain that even though he averaged 3ypc he was effective. He rarely lost yardage, he rarely didn't make a 3rd and short or 4th and short and the run game such that it was complimented the passing game and the play action pass.

I don't think that the Pats have passed the ball 30 times yet this season, and definitely not during the winning streak, although we are not getting the yardage or imposing a fear of the run game, we ARE running it enough to remain balanced in the number of plays if not the number of yards gained.

Not saying we need to do better if we hope for long term success, but...

@patfanken - The Pats have made more than 30 pass attempts 3 times this year. 2 of which game during the 4 game win streak.

I think that the 5 games after the Titans game will be a tougher stretch than people think, but we should see the running game appear better because we should start seeing fewer 8 man boxes.

As a point of reference, Tom Brady played 285 regular season and 31 playoff games for New England. He received 32 regular-season game balls and 10 in the playoffs. Maye is still establishing himself, he will get his.
Serious question: how did you learn that?

I will go ahead and just state the obvious, but damn it's great to be looking forward to meaningful football on a Sunday again.

Online research. I was curious about it from all the silly kvetching over Drake allegedly being stiffed on game balls. As it turns out, the GOAT got one roughly every 10 games he played here (including one of every three playoff games). But, he WAS the GOAT.

Maye hasn't gotten many this year. Vrabel seems to use them as motivators, not just as rewards.

Gonna miss the game today. At the Eagles road game with the wifes Philly crew. Hope I don't get beaten....

That’s not what I read in the GDT.

Here's the big difference...

I hate when I do that. I just got the impression that they haven't thrown the ball a lot and they haven't the last 4 games with just the one game with 30. Still no excuse to being that far off the facts.

Here's the big difference...
Yup.
Our top 2 RBs are averaging a combined 3.3 yds/carry which includes several runs of no gain or losses (at least to my eye, don't know our number of such runs ).

Let's see if our outside rush guys can take advantage.
We have been pretty ineffective with our outside rush the past few games, thus why I see Edge as a real trade need.
