2025 / 2026 College watch thread

I'll tell you what. If we miss out on Arvell Reese but get Makai Lemon and David Bailey, you might just be able to talk me down from the ledge.

Peter Woods, concerned about Kadyn Proctor getting all the draft hype decides to get in on the act with a TD of his own

Bumping Procter down to RB2, Jeremiyah Live to RB3.

Amazing TD catch by Lemon!

How far does Allar fall after this disaster of a season?

As for Penn State . . .

The two things that can't be said about him is that he runs lousy routes and doesn't get separation.
On that play he ran a lousy route and had no separation. Did you watch the play?

David Bailey ran lousy routes and had no separation on his 2.5 sacks, too.

Thank you for bringing that up. I've been resisting the urge to post about that.

12 tackles, 1 sack and 1.5 TFLs.

Yes and I saw Lemon run the route to exactly where the QB wanted him.
A guy like Diggs has that subtlety so he can sell that he is going right while he goes left. Edelman won on remarkable athleticism, a 3-cone as fast as any, but that athleticism (like R Moss too) is rare. But some guys have that lean, that fake to the left, then a motion to the right, only to go left. Diggs is like that. No idea how to describe it because I could never duplicate it. It is like the cross over dribble in basketball. Some guys, not necessarily the most athletic ones, can create separation with a lean and shoulder dip. That is not to say Lemon is not like that, but on that play the DB knew exactly where Lemon was going. Lemon won on remarkable athleticism, not on fooling the DB.

Diggs is an NFL vet of 11 years. Lemon is a college junior. Sure, I csn buy that Diggs has more nuance to his game than Lemon.

3 now. On course for 18 sacks on the season. That would be 5th best all time I believe.
