This continues to confirm my theory it is a down year across the entire NFL. If the Pats were just 1 year ahead on their rebuild they'd have a real shot.

The only team that feels real is the Lions.... I wonder if it will last. Bills are just too much of the Josh Allen show.

Maybe KC turns it on late when they get their WRs back. But idk.

Have already recalibrated my preseason thoughts about the Chiefs and Ravens.

Looks like I need to do the same with the Eagles.

Opposite way with Colts and Jaguars.

Cowboys are still mediocre, not matter how often they are on tv.

And the Jete somehow have somehow managed to not live up to gutter-level expectations.

Jete are having exactly the season I expected after watching Glenn's intro presser. Had my popcorn ready for months and have not been disappointed.

They can. I don't know if they will, but if Penix decides not to suck (that's gone back and forth all year), and they lean heavy on Robinson, they've got a pretty good shot.

The bloom is certainly off that rose. He's a faster Russell Wilson at this point. Deep balls or checkdowns, nothing in between. With the added fun trait of panicking under pressure.

Several seasons ago, the Eagles were doing well & I thought they’d be the champs. But things went south. Obv they regrouped and had an excellent run in 2024-25.

But this gang - while talented at most positions - reminds me of that previous team. There’s something missing. And w #11 being crankier each week, they risk losing their shot to repeat.

I think Barkley making two 1st down runs to start the game and asking to come out, sums up the Eagles team this year. I don’t know if they are unconditioned or what. Or they just have no heart. How can you be gassed after 2 runs ?

Watching the game, I question the Pat’s drafting strategy in 2025. Maybe they should’ve gone receiver/tight end in round 2, and then Skatebo in round 3. I LOVED Skatebo in college ball, and loved him in the draft. I loved TE Harold Fannin Jr in college ball and the draft too. Would’ve loved him in round 2 and Skatebo in round 3. Both have been very productive in the NFL so far.

Maybe it’s how the Pats use (or fail to use) their rookies, Henderson & Williams have been disappointing so far. But they are the two most explosive rookies they drafted, and aren’t using them enough.

Any else think about Cam Skettebo on the Patriots. You could see how the Giants OL fed off his desire to seek out contact. And with his strength, low center of gravity, and Rudy-like Heart, it was a revelation to many.

But he showed it at Arizona State especially in the playoffs.

But straight line speed is to a RB what arm length is to an OT.

He said being a QB coach and being a OC are two completely different things.
Not everyone is meant to be a OC.
