Rivers was an absolute idiot playing in that game and was trying to be a hero. We really don't know the severity of the injury, but players do hear the noise and/or understand a big contract is at stake. Case in point, after Sanu got injured on the punt return in 2019, he rushed himself back because he felt the pressure of being traded for a 2nd round pick. He regretted that and blames that decision on why he never got back to his prior form.

In regards to Gonzo, I think he plays very soon. Unless his injury is more severe than we know, he's risking losing a new deal in the off-season.

I disagree on most of this
if he plays, which is still in question, he more than likely is eased in.
get a handful of snaps in and start to knock off the rust, regain some confidence in his legs, and get up to game speed.
he and the team s/b targeting a full practice week next, and full game participation next week.

the team has to make a decision after the 2025 season on his 5th year option, which I am 1000% sure they will do. not even a question about it

Yep! Phillip Rivers played the AFCCG with a torn ACL, Logan mankins played an entire season with a knee injury... do you believe gonzo plays Sunday??

If he does, I can't imagine it will be much. Maybe some 3rd downs in obvious passing situations and over time

I can see that.. Hopefully it won't take Rodgers to hit DK for two 50 yard bombs before he is inserted.

Took multiple weeks for people to buy in. They faced Miami the next week (I think, maybe week 3) and Tyreek Hill said "that guy is special", while some here thought he was looking like a bust.

The secondary last year had both safeties lining up inside the box. It was one of the most insane defenses I've ever seen. Let's just say that the last 2 years we've had a Covington defense and now a Kuhr defense, so we need the coaches to start elevating their game immediately.
