2026 Draft: Tight Ends

Marvin Klein, Michigan, 6-6, 250lbs

Played second fiddle to Loveland last year, and if his first game is anything to go by, could be stepping into his shoes this year. He went 6/93 in his first game. What I like about him is that he played 306 snaps inline last year so he has that 2-way experience which is quite rare at TE nowadays. Klein is German born.

Klein blocking. He's no 17

A name to keep in the back of your mind because he'll rise up draft boards if he keeps having 6/93 days and we know Michigan is a team that likes to utilise their TEs.

TE is a top need. If we didn't have such a need for Drake Maye, Bruce Bowers would have fell to us with the trade down pick from the Vikings.

Last year I wanted the Penn Stste big burly kid.

Our top two TEs turn 31 this season.

Priority number one or two is young talent at this position. Ideally a Y guy.

I'm more and more enticed by an explosive option on offense with the first pick. Look at Sadiq's highlights. So explosive for the position. He's a mismatch weapon. Too fast and explosive for linebackers, too big for DBs. According to Feldman's freaks list, he has a 41.5" vertical!

In his debut Tyler Warren had 7 receptions for 76 yards..no TD's.
Thought he would have been a great fit for the Pats if they traded back a bit.
Maybe our perspective has to do watching some really good TE's over the years.. starting with Russ Francis and then there was Gronk.. Hunter and Hooper are adequate but this is an area of need.

Do not skip over Ben Coates!!!!!

Excellent all-22 breakdown of Kenyon Sadiq. I need to see more from him as a receiver this year as he only has 3 receptions so far but he's excellent as a blocker and explosive as a hand grenade.

Quick breakdown of Kenyon Sadiq by Connor Rogers. Yes he's undersized, but his athleticism is really strong. He looks like a WR on that first play.

Scouting report on Kenyon Sadiq

Terrible clip, just shows the same catches over and over again. Blocking discussed as a strength, but not shown very much.

Joe Royer out of Cincinnati has great size and receiving ability. If he can become a better blocker, I’d love to snag him in the 2 or 3 round. Seems to be a very high character guy, as well.

He did transfer out of OSU, though, so probably loses points with Vrabel there.

Reminds me of Deebo Samuel. Uber-athletic but not a great fit at WR or TE. Lots of hype due to athleticism. Hard pass from me.

Damn those super athletic players. Who needs 'em?

Rueben Bain is not uber-athletic. Definitely plays with personality. Probably not Manx's kind of guy.
