Early NCAAF Talk

Obviously BPA but I think we'll go into the next draft looking at WR1, LG as priorities next year.
Maybe not WR1 necessarily (if Williams develops), but definitely another WR. They'll be looking for a TE1 for sure, CB for sure, and a right tackle most likely.

Another young WR I like is Auburn’s Cam Coleman. Big-bodied, fluid X-type receiver, but I don’t believe he’s draft eligible until ‘27.

Agree on WR. I was really thinking about someone who can get the ball in traffic which isn't Williams' strength. Agree on TE (meant to mention that one). I'm not sure about CB though; the starters are in place and Austin seems to be a good backup. There's a need sure, but I'm not sure, at this point, it's a priority need. As for RT, I'm hoping Marcus Bryant continues as he's started but if not, then I agree.

Chism is your 'catch the ball in traffic' guy.
Davis is only really here this year and next year, and I'd feel a lot better if they had a blue chipper next to Gonzalez going forward. And in a couple year Marcus Jones will be pushing 30, they'll need a slot guy at some point.

I think they have the flexibility to draft the best center in the draft and keep Wilson at LG if that works out better for them. They could address Edge or WR in the first round, then take the OG/C e second round, where there is always good value for OG/C

If there's a quality TE to be had, I'd consider that in the first two rounds too.

I’d assume we’re much less aggressive in FA next year. But we still may see a few pieces filled that route.

Watched a lot of Jaden Baugh at UF who tore it up as a true freshman last season and will be better this year…..incredible talent and instincts . Don’t sleep on him…..also DJ Lagway QB at UF will also be very good in NFL in a few years I believe!

Onwenu will probably be gone. RG and RT. Still need lots of OL. Hopefully Sidy Sow shows up this year with Strange fading.
I have hopes for Bryant at RT and the team seem keen to have Wilson play LG so maybe C and RG which are less premium positions draft wise.

Eli Stowers from Vanderbilt, Keep an eye on him. He's gotten bigger over the off-season. He's now at 245. He's a QB convert so he's still raw but has big upside. He's getting a lot of pub recently. That offense should be fun to watch, for a Vandy team, with Pavia still at QB.

Also, LB could be a need next year and Anthony Hill, from Texas, is someone to keep an eye on as the first pick. He'd be a great compliment to Spillane. Sonny Styles, from thee Ohio State U, is another player Vrabel would like on his team.

Edge looks like a deep group as well so plenty of players to choose from in the first two rounds. Oh, wait, the combine is still a couple of months away

I'm a forever ND fan, but have lost some of my interest in signings and the grades associated with such due to the BS transfer portal and NIL's...
From my view this is ruining college football, whatever happened to "be true to your school"???
I won't change my allegiance, just temper it a bit.. I look at the state of college football with a crooked eye.

Those days are over. Every player is literally a UFA every year. You have guys who literally play for 4 different schools over the course of their careers.

If you have a good season, you get upgraded to a better school (and get more money).
If you have a bad season, you get downgraded to a worse school (and get less money).

They’re all unique talents, but Smith is special.

Only way to stop him; unless he drops a pass (couple drops today btw..)
