The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

You’re a moron if you don’t think he would have taken any NFL job if offered. He even humiliated himself and got on bended knee to beg the hated Jets for a job.

Nobody - NOBODY - goes to UNC if they have NFL offers.
Well if you put it that way it makes it a fact I'm so glad you contribute in such meaningful ways to this message board.

If he took college job at a second rate program I find it hard to believe he would have turned down any NFL job.
Oh he would have because owners sons aren't in the way or something and he would always rather take a college job anyway. Or whatever other Bill BS he's trying to shovel on us.

You're right some gossip sight shows they were together in 2023 so that makes it a fact that ATL backed out because of Hudson.

It's a fact that they were together in 2023 regardless of what web site chose to aggregate the information.

It's conjecture that ATL backed out partially because of Hudson. It's certainly not the only reason, but I posted my rationale for making such conjecture that I think is quite clear.

I don't why Bill couldn't find an NFL job to his liking but there's more to that answer than 32 teams didn't want him. We don't know how many of those 32 he wanted. From what I recall he turned down Khan not the other way around. And despite whatever rumors there were he was ever going to NYJ just as a few examples so that's at least 30. My opinion is he probably wasn't going to venture very far from the East Coast so that took a lot of teams off the table. There were probably one or 2 West Coast teams run well enough that he'd consider them but I doubt many were on his radar. Again just my opinion but it's not like we have a check list of 32 teams and why they may or may not have been interested in Bill.

My opinion is that Bill wasn't hired because his bunny chasing cast doubt on his willingness/ability to focus on football which also cast doubt on his judgement, and by being seen as someone who would seek total control even when he claimed he did not need it.

Then we end up seeing him taking a job at UNC when he has near-total control and tried to install his bunny as a de-facto UNC spokesman till the UNC leadership publicly shot that down.

There certainly are people at UNC who see that hiring BB comes with both pros and cons:

Right now, Belichick is a 72-year old who got run out of his last job for his failure at roster management and at adjusting to a new era, all but begged for another NFL job and got just one interview out of eight openings, and has spent the last year undergoing a very public three-quarter-life crisis: jonesing to return to an NFL sideline, leaving a decades-long relationship for somebody a third his age, and reportedly working obsessively on this “bible” so he could be a better interview than he was this time last year. Enabling that kind of desperation just doesn’t seem like a good move to me.

Behavior one might expect from a hater not someone who still considers themselves still to be a little fan.

Hey maybe I'm wrong maybe you are still a little fan of his but you certainly spend an awful lot of time crapping on him, searching the web for gossip like a teenage girl, and aligning yourself with the opinions of board members who aren't even trying to hide their hate.

The web search happened because you injected incorrect information to the thread.

My recall is that the very few grievances he has let slip out came in interviews after he took the job at UNC and not during his year on TV. And really up until this pretty clear jab about 'owners sons' he has said very little negative.

The guy who played the New England and national media like a fiddle for two decades chose to talk to Ben freaking Volin who flew to UNC just to try to get something good out of him.

Ben did.

See why some of us wonder about his judgement these days?

Looks like you don't have any evidence, just conjecture and name calling.
Observation of life is all the evidence needed… oh yeah, also not having an irrational hatred for a former coach and to pull your head from your rear.

Which explains entirely why he took the NC job months before the NFL season ended and hiring season began.

You haters make so much sense…

It's a good thing that you already let us know that your opinion is useless since it became biased around 2022 as you put it you went from being a big fan to being a little fan because you disagreed with his hiring process or whatever it is you said. Your grudge is clearly tainting your opinion and objectivity.

We can go in circles all day if you want but bottom line is I'm not putting words into your mouth your opinion is all your own.

I did no such thing I did not say when the relationship started I said no one knew the name Hudson until this past winter. Thus your insisting some sort of public bunny chase occurred is completely false you're the one injecting the bad info.

I still believe that BB wants the NY Giants job, but I also believe that Dart is going to succeed with Daboll. So, that job is off the table.

UNC welcomed BB with open arms. The school has an allure with LT and Jordan graduating there. All BB has to do is get in a good bowl game this season and the NFL offers will start to come in.

A post like this is very small but loaded with leaps to conclusions, false assumptions, and baseless questioning his judgement and you still can't understand why someone would assume you're not a fan of his. It's laughable.

Also, by accepting the college HC job Kraft still owes BB all his money - a reported 25 million.

If BB took an NFL job, my understanding is that Kraft would not owe the money or that there would be an offset.. BB wants to screw Kraft every way that he can which is reflected in their on going feud.

"irrational hatred" lol

Not one NFL team wanted poor sad whiny simpy Bill. He has it so rough these days...clearly all the owners sons fault.

That really puts a new spin on it.

Blah blah blah. You got nothing, otherwise you'd be telling me why/how I was wrong.

Changed != biased.

We all thought Aaron Hernandez was a great Patriot, till he started killing people.

Are you still an Aaron Hernandez fan?

And the theater of the rediculous continues lol.

I think he is even less likely to get offers from the NFL at this point. He didn't garner much interest last year and the one job he seemed to be close to getting he ended up blasting them on a MNF broadcast after he got passed over. Between his age, some of the bridges he's burned, and how the first couple months of his UNC tenure have been a fiasco I don’t think the NFL will come calling.

And the theater of the rediculous continues lol.
If that's what it takes to get through to you, so be it.

Till it does, keep standing on that wall.
