Back when the Pats signed/claimed Woodhead, right after Kevin Faulk's injury, I remember Belichick saying that at that moment, something like "he was the best player not currently on a roster." So I'm guessing they have some people whose job it is to make lists of the players they might want and keep track of other team's rosters during cutdowns. It made me wonder if Vrabel is trying to get all the cuts done early so his staff has more bandwidth available for evaluating players cut by other teams.
New regimes clean house. Definitely a truth to it.Good. They shouldn’t keep anyone based upon draft status. If they don’t think they can be good contributors going forward they should be released.
Is he cooked?
That is true,
Which he should clear waivers.
And exactly when during the game did he "injure" himself?
Folks seem to know that we needed a center. Many of staff thought LG. They compromised and drafted a center who will start at LG.I remember being told before the draft that we didn’t need an interior OL in the draft because we had Sidy Sow and Layden Robinson. Good times.

Strange came in for Brown last year and played much better than Brown. If it happens that Brown is kept over Strange, it's because Strange is in his last year and they are looking to the future. Our OL has been one of the worst for the last 3 straight years, so it makes sense that we're just turning the page.
For that reason alone I wouldn't be surprised to see Strange gone. I've been a believer in his potential, but he's firmly on the bubble. And so far, I'd rather have Brown start games at either LG or C than Strange, although he does seem to be a valuable versatile backup at all IOL spots.
I think we're keeping Wallace based on draft status.Good. They shouldn’t keep anyone based upon draft status. If they don’t think they can be good contributors going forward they should be released.
If he is placed on IR before cutdown, though, he's gone all 17, right?. Only if he's kept on the roster then IR-ed afterwards can he come backYes, it will be disappointing for a player who would have been inactive for 5 weeks might be on IR for 5 weeks.
Does anyone feel he’s injured? If he is placed on IR before cutdown, though, he's gone all 17, right?. Only if he's kept on the roster then IR-ed afterwards can he come back
If his last name is as anything but Wolf I would say he had to go.Another Wolf special.
He can try, but usually they reach injury settlements before waivers, so it's doubtful. He can also press for an injury settlement...
