Brutal that Sow didn't make it. Gonna be a longer rebuild than we would like here.

You like Sow more than Wallace and Brown. OK.

Others have long ago given up on him and were not at all surprised to see his terrible performance last night.

I don't think that this means that the rebuild will take longer.

Vrabel had many youngsters to assess in the search for future contributors on the OL, and perhaps even starters.

So far, we have Campbell, Wilson and Bryant. That's a good start. Bryant might only be a backup, but that's OK. We need backups that we can count on.

I suspect that the team sees Brown as a backup with a future on the team.

Wallace seems to be the one who will be given a chance to be a contributor.

In 2026 we start with
CAMPBELL, WILSON, BROWN, ONWENU, BRYANT
with WALLACE also as a possible starter.
and perhaps LOWE and/or MOSES as the old vets.

Sure, we will add in free agency and the draft, and we might not keep Onwenu,

However, considering where we started, that's not bad at all.

The rapid and significant declines of Mr. Sow and Mr. Strange have really surprised me, I thought one or the other were going to start the season as LG1. This was based on their rookie years and my disregard for Scott Peters who I still think failed to develop a single OLman last year.

We have to keep in mind that these guys are quite young men so we really don’t know which of them peaked in college, as many do, and which ones will wind up developing in their early 20s much more than their late teens.

Strange is understandable with the awful injury, but I don’t understand what happened to Sow. He was adequate as a pass blocker as a rookie, but then couldn’t pass block at all last season or again last night. There were some injuries in there, but nothing nearly as severe as what Strange had.

Sow had 4 different OLine coaches in 4 years here. That likely stunted Strange’s development as well along with the torn patella tendon.
