Great thread. Jennings is tough to know. Landry, White, Chaisson, Ponder, and Swinson are the competition, so he could be in trouble. Ponder I see going to the PS, but I think we will keep Landry, White, Chaission, and possibly Swinson. Maybe Jennings will be more aggressive under Vrabel? I am always sceptical of trades during camp, but Jennings might be worth something.Anfernee Jennings - Not a spectacular player, but one of the few bright spots the past two years.
I hear nothing. Someone somewhere mentioned he didn't fit Vrabel's scheme.
Landry is a beast, but has Jennings even been on the field.
Will Jennings be cut or traded?

Swinson and Ponder are both athletic studs… Outside LB is probably the deepest position on the team
Yup.Really good run defender, but not much a rusher. I haven't heard a single work on him, but one would think if it comes down to him, or a young guy like Swinson that Jennings will be out of a job. Obv health can change things, but my expectation would be cut. Trade possibility is always there, but the return would be very minimal, swap of late rd picks would be my guess.
Only way I could see him sticking is if Vrabel and staff are really confident we can generate inside pressure and on one end, maybe they prefer to keep a stouter edge setter run defender on the opposite side.Yup.
Jennings is a solid edge/run defender.
The unknown is how much does the new scheme value a pass rush on the edge.
If it's a lot, he's moving on.
We had run defenders last year?Yup.

He could be situational - such as facing a team that’s very run heavy.Only way I could see him sticking is if Vrabel and staff are really confident we can generate inside pressure and on one end, maybe they prefer to keep a stouter edge setter run defender on the opposite side.
Jennings is the opposite of some of the flashy guys...he's very good against the Run. We Need some guys like that.Anfernee Jennings - Not a spectacular player, but one of the few bright spots the past two years.

I hope he sticks on the roster. Everyone is gaga over the flashy sack artists, but if you can't set the edge you are toast.
I'd like to see a rotation of Jennings on early downs and Chaisson in obvious pass situations.
Landry can rush and set the edge.
Is Jennings equally effective at weak side?
Pretty much all Jennings successful body of work has been as strong side.
Where's he lining up now?
Is setting the edge as important to this system as it was to Bill's?I hope he sticks on the roster. Everyone is gaga over the flashy sack artists, but if you can't set the edge you are toast.

BB neutralized Julius Peppers by running right at him.
If it's a close decision, I think Vrabel will pick the new guy, (his guy) over holdovers from the last regime(s). Not saying that's a bad thing, it's just my perception.Really good run defender, but not much a rusher.
