With Eckel's stomach injury, Bam playing special teams and backup RB would make sense.

IIRC he lined up in the backfield against Jax last year as well.

Regardless, Bam doesn't do what Eckel can do either running or in ST coverage. If he is activated it won't be to cover that gap.

Is Ventrone still active? He would be a better guy from a ST standpoint.

I believe that Ventrone is still active. We have OT's playing TE. Someone will be added. It seems that a TE is most likely.

I just was giving an alternate replacement for Eckel's ST absence.

But I am all for them finding a TE who can contribute to the coverage teams.
