If Bill responded to the question himself saying he’s not answering the question and that he’s there to talk about his book and football, that would have been fine. The fact that his girlfriend, who was not being interviewed, interrupted is what’s odd.

His response misses the point. It was also odd that she was on the field talking to him while he was conducting a practice is also very odd and is clearly out of character for him. This whole situation is very troubling.

Also asking how you and the women who is....

1. In the room right now
2. In the book you are promoting described as your "creative muse"
3. Working in some capacity on your staff

I'm half with you. Bill should have shut down/stonewalled any question that didn't involve the book. He has a life history of quite competently shutting down any question he doesn't want to answer.

That said, he has her functioning as his PR person and shutting down questions that stray from the agreed upon area of discussion would fall into her purview. Gronk and Edelman have said as much. If Bill had a 50 year old guy over in that corner instead of Bunny no one would have batted an eye. BB is mixing business and pleasure here, that's looking for trouble no matter who you are

While I have enjoyed this new thing with Bill with a whiplash smile on my face, I am getting kind of bored with it. I feel like I am bound to point out that Bill is no longer the HC of the NEPs. It does seem that we are, collectively, chained to the past. I really think I need to throw some of you a rope so you can get thru the pain of Bill leaving and embrace the new regime. Now there's at least two new threads about Bill and the humiliation he is enduring on CBS and at UNC. I for one would rather be hogtied than keep submitting myself to more of this masochistic abuse.

It isn't just the interview. The interview is just shining light on how bad this relationship really could be.

So far:
She is likely the reason his long term relationship with Linda ended
Potentially killed the Hard Knocks deal Bill and the school allegedly wanted
Videoed on-field during a practice talking with Bill and other staffers
Allegedly now has $8 million in real estate gained over the last few months
Is now CCed on emails from UNC to Bill
Has the title of COO of Belichick Productions
Posting Bill's email on social media

Either Bill is being severely manipulated or he is allowing her to run wild and meddle in his professional life. Either way it isn't a good look for Bill and shows a severe lapse in judgment on his part.

So that means it's ok for CBS to turn what should have been a softball book promotion interview into a TMZ circus. Even if CBS went into this with good intentions do you really think just because Jordan got entitled its right for them to turn it into a hit piece? Kind of vindictive for a reporter don't you think. Clearly they had alternate motives than a soft interview to let a writer promote his book.

Yeah, Johnson has always had a knife out for BB. Sometimes he's more subtle than others but it's always there.

On a side note, looking at that 'article' SI has really fallen. Ted Johnson is twice identified as a 'former Patriots offensive lineman' in it. Cripes they don'r even have him on the correct side of the ball never mind his position. They do it in the subtitle and again 9in the body of the article here:

' Johnson, a three-time Super Bowl champion offensive lineman for Belichick’s teams in New England...'

The ****ty thing is that Bill sort of needs this to work with UNC. You don't end a college tenure in embarrassment and then get a shot at the NFL even if you were a once legendary coach. Also if you can't cut it at UNC, bigger college programs aren't going to consider you.
