As a fifth-year 'back in the Big Sky Conference last season, Larison recorded 1,465 rushing yards and 17 touchdown on 284 carries (5.2 yards/carry) on top of a significant 62 receptions for 847 yards and six additional scores. He also attempted nine passes, completing five for 45 yards and a touchdown.

Those numbers are insane.

Impossible not to see significant shades of McCaffrey in this guy. Only saw the highlights but he was obviously multiple steps ahead of the competition there at UC Davis. That leaves me surprised at the relatively low ypc (5.2) but probably a number of things playing into that (all the goal line work, defense focused entirely on him as he was pretty much the whole offense).

Could range anywhere from a decent back up to a phenomenal find who helps to force Rham off the roster, moving us to two dual threat running backs who share the load with no traditional bell cow. If the new FB sticks maybe he could be the short yardage specialist as well. Although just realized Larison is bigger than I thought. Listed at 6'0 215. Dang. Can't believe he went undrafted

When i say i prioritize RBs who catch, this is what i'm talking about. Not just good hands, not just a few moves after the catch in space. But also can you run a simple route? Can you catch the ball over your shoulder at full speed? Can you actually pluck a ball out of the air away from your body that is going at full speed? True WR like traits.

This guy has those. I think he's 100% making this team. This is our 3rd down back specialist and change of pace guy of the future. At least i hope so.
