The Best Thread Of The Year: 2025 UDFA Thread

Interesting from the Eliot Wolf press conference — he basically takes responsibility for the UDFA problems last season saying he didn’t have the process organized well enough. And that Vrabel and Cowden helped him organize it properly this year. So he seems to agree with your critique. Eliot Wolf Post-Draft Press Conference
I think this probably shows who’s REALLY in charge, Vrabel and Cowden. Wolf may be a figurehead, he may call the draft picks when they are about to draft them, but Vrabel & Cowden are running the show. It’s a catch 22, BECAUSE the draft seems really successful, Wolf may be allowed to stick around for a while. But it’s kinda embarrassing that the de facto GM needed help from his Head Coach and someone supposedly below him to do something a GM is supposed to do.

I really like the signing. Has experience at multiple positions, started at RG last year, and has size (listed at 6'7" 325). Another big OL dude, clearly Vrabel wants size.
Yet he dumped Caleb Jones. The 6'9 behemoth.

About TE CJ Dippre, he’s tough to tackle at 6’5” 255, he ran a 4.69 (Gronk will like that), so he certainly fast enough to be effective as a receiver. Had 32 reps on the bench press, supposedly bench presses 500, comes from a weight lifting family. Good blocker, really untapped offensive play. Could be a better pro if he is given the opportunity to catch the ball.

Yeah, that's a pretty jaw-dropping public admission. "The cause of the problems was that I didn't know what the hell I was doing."

The draft class has Vrabel written all over it. But if he and Wolf are both happy with Wolf staying on as a figurehead, who's to complain?

After this draft, don't change a thing.

He's got a chance to stick for sure.

Cobee Bryant is still unsigned. I wonder if he's got a few suitors.

BJ Mayes CB Texas A&M still out there from what I can see.

Edit another Eagle solid signing
