Celtics 2024-2025 Discussion

had another great season but injuries just derailed us from getting another ring.
Do you worry much? There are pills for anxiety attacks. Or edibles work too. If you need help I am not a doctor but your condition seems simple to treat as extreme worry. I am sure my recommendations will help your extreme concerns.

As I've been posting. The only thing that can hold us from repeating is health. With Tatum out and brown hobbled this game tonight feels like a scheduled loss.
Not to be a hindsight guy, but let’s put things in perspective. Celtics were still favored by 10 points and probably would be favored by 7-8 points without both of them.

We have a lot of great players. Even in a full 7 game series, without JT and JB, Celtics likely still beat the Magic in 6-7 games. White, Porzingis, Holiday, and Pritchard are all damn good players. Hauser is very decent too, would start for some teams. Sure, they wouldn’t have the same spacing and bail-out playmaking, but they’d still be like a 45-50 win team.

You can do the same thing with a team like OKC. Without SGA, they’re still probably a 50 win team, maybe 55. The Bulls were a 55 win team without Jordan.

We’re not at the competition level yet where we should be expecting any losses due to missing a player or even two. This is a hell of a basketball team.

Try to enjoy it, at least until we’re up against a real destroyer. Obviously I don’t want JT out, but it’s fun to watch the other guys play different roles and carry more of the load.

All valid points and I agree with you. The idea is to win championships. That's what the Cs are built on historically. Health and availability to players is vital. Let's jump ahead and say we face Cleveland in the ECF a young, hungry deep team that's wants get back from us... what if Tatum who's an iron man aggregates the hand and misses time. It's very noticeable whenever he's not on the floor. Again my guy One-If-By-Sea is offering me stress/anxiety medicine LMAO. The life of a sports fan. LoL

I saw where the Magic coach was complaining about the foul disparity last night. That is so messed up. As Scal said during the broadcast, they foul on every play, figuring that the refs can't call them all. They're like the 2013 Seahawks secondary or the NJ Devils "holding crew" of the early 90's. Keep fouling and hope they let them go after a while.

What? Me? Worry.. naaaaaah. LMAO.

Sorry, it was your twin who now lives Jeanty. I was confused.
It's ok...one.. .. I know he likes jeanty... so do i.. but I'm going with who coach feels like we need and it Campbell.

I didn't see this angle during the game. It was clearly intentional, although Al clearly added an extra "wow factor" by throwing his arms in the air.

Al was trying to draw the call and succeeded.

KCP is a worthless bag of ****. Fake tough guy. Instigator. Couldn't hold Bill Laimbeer or Rick Mahorn's jock.

I hope these refs are ****ing hanged

Can't believe this ****

Awful game from KP, overall sloppy by everyone and too much iso down the stretch. Losing basketball

Orlando has the best defense on the planet. The Celtics simply couldn’t quick pass their way to open shots. I agree..:they certainly didn’t play their best today. But…that final three minutes was absolute ****. Every. Single. Call. Ended up benefitting the Magic after being called, or overturned.

Two calls were absolute head scratchers. The jump ball call on the sideline was totally without cause. And the replay “interpretation” was an absolute joke. White was still fouled before the ball touched him.

The backcourt / 8 second violation call was totally moronic, and bailed out the Magic. Calls are rarely overturned without a challenge..,and yet…

Not reviewing the clock before that last play? Teams spend $300M for a player roster, fans spend billions a year, and the refs just decide to forego the standard review process to accurately set the clock and determine if the Celtics will have an actual chance to win, even given all of the horseshit calls? That last decision makes me think there’s more to it than every call just coincidentally benefitting the Magic.

I don’t like to say things like “fixed” or “conspiracy” without cause. But most definitely, these refs were at a minimum absolute cowards caving to the home crowd pressure.

If this is what the NBA wants for the future of their game, I'm about ready to go back to ignoring it again. The refereeing was terrible tonight - again.

Yeah, I don’t disagree with any of that really. I hate pointing to the refs but you’re right there was a cluster of bad calls/decisions by the refs that definitely impacted the game

But man Porziņģis was really a black hole tonight

The game is fixed or the refs are incompetent. Could be both
