I love em both though Kyle Williams is a lot faster: I wouldn't be disappointed with Jack Bech very accomplished RR.Kyle Williams
This is worth watching. Matt Harmon on the Patriots receivers and how some of the draft picks fit with us. He compares Jack Bech usage to AJ Brown as being why Vrabel might like him. He obviously isn't trying to say that Bech is as good as Brown, just that he'll give Vrabel some of what he got out of Brown. Speaks well of Tre Harris and Kyle Williams too.
Interestingly, Matt Harmon says Bech would give Vrabel some of what he got from AJ Brown. Harris is 205lbs whereas AJ Brown weighed in at 226lbs. Bech gets closer at 215.I love Tre Harris tapes I see some A.J. Brown in him: it seems like Tre Harris is flying under the radar.
Not talking about the usual suspects at WR ie Travis Hunter and Tet McMillan. But Tre Harris was the first WR who caught my eyes in the 2025 Draft process. I also love E Egbuka early on. This Draft at WR is sneaky decent: I have cooled off on Jayden Higgins think he has a ways to go I hope we don't Draft Him on Day 2.Interestingly, Matt Harmon says Bech would give Vrabel some of what he got from AJ Brown. Harris is 205lbs whereas AJ Brown weighed in at 226lbs. Bech gets closer at 215.
Just for reference, with all the Harmon discussion.
I have much lower expectations for Baker. We just didn't see him. When I saw Javon Baker last year: I compared him to Brian Thomas Jr thought he was going to be a Steal. I knew Baker would fall through the cracks...it happen but his abysmal Rookie season was very disappointing. Was it our abysmal Coaching?? Learning curve?? We'll know more in TC 25. That said I would bring in Two WR's from this Draft: one can't be too sure.
Even Steve Smith liked Baker last year: I thought I was on to something. Again we'll see if it was the Coaching or he's just dumb as bricks.I have much lower expectations for Baker. We just didn't see him.
I feel like Polk will bounce back. He was used poorly early(Harmon touched on it in the video posted), and he had some high profile almost game changing plays. I think his confidence took a major hit. A new staff with a better idea of how to use guys will be huge. I also think Tyler Highes was in over his head as a WR coach. He was never a high level position coach. He was a college analyst at Washington the year prior. I know guys often take in new roles but a coach without WR coach experience in charge of rookie receivers with a rookie QB and rookie HC .... Overall poor match.
It'd be great if both can become something. I have more confidence in Polk figuring it out.
