2025 Draft: WRs

Don't know if this was posted already.

Just listened to Harmon on Noel. Loves him. Can play in or out. Scheme diverse. The interesting part to me was, he says the closest comp for him is Josh Downs. Maye's best year in college was with Downs. Noel has a little more bulk and strength than Downs.

Id be fine with him at 38, if OT comes before that.

Thanks for posting that Jaylin Noel ran all the Routes: that's why I want no part of Jayden Harry Higgins.

Don't sleep on Kyle Williams or Tai Felton either very accomplished Route runners. Also Pat Bryant from Illinois who didn't run well at the Combines... but ran all the routes in College Short - Intermediate and Deep.

He has a site where he has all his reception perception charts but it's a subscription required
He has a reception perception podcast, as well. Obviously the better info is with the subscription. But still get a lot of info on the podcast.

My job allows me to listen to podcasts most of the day lol. Thats why I keep referencing different ones.

Any scoop on Tory Horton and Isaac TeSlaa??

Haven't heard anything yet. Harmon really isn't a draft guy. I think he's expanded to top prospects for more content but I dont think he goes through the whole position. Hes more of an NFL guy. I came across him in fantasy football circles, but obviously his info goes beyond that.

Nate Tice and Harmon discussing WR's.

Didn't compare McMillan and Higgins but gave their breakdowns. Much higher on McMillan. McMillan is a true X and is much more fluid in his routes. Excellent on comeback routes for a big receiver with his ability to sink his hips and come back. Has the flexibility to move around the formation and can take routes in the slot.

Higgins struggles vs man coverage and press. Doesn't play as big as his size down the field. Both Tice and Harmon say he's a big slot. He can win on occasion in contested catch but at his best in the slot. Harmon compared him to Keon Coleman as someone who is miscast as an X, contested catch guy. Likes them a lot more in the slot. Harmon liked Coleman more than Higgins because he's better at contested catches.

Tice things TMac is a wr1 and a top 10 guy but likely won't go there. I believe he even went as far as saying TMac is closer to the big 3 last year than you think. Top 20 for Harmon, more of a higher end wr2 than true wr1.

Both think Higgins is a solid day 2 guy, if used properly.

Tice mentioned Horton. Easy mover for a taller guy, knows how to use his length. Has some juice for a possession type of guy. Top 75 guy for Tice.

Harmon mentioned Kyle Williams as a guy he lolikes a lot. I think he's top 60 for Harmon and Tice.

They were reviewing the consensus top 100 WR's. Williams and Horton were guys outside it that they think are underrated.

Josh Norris and Hayden winks at Underdog both had Kyle Williams ahead of Noel and Higgins.

Definitely seems to be gaining steam.

Harmon fwiw, has Noel as a borderline 1st rounder. I dont think he gave a set ranking but has Noel right after the TMac/Golden/Egbuka group. Right there with Burden as the next receivers.

That's lofty. Perhaps the run in this draft will be on 2nd round receivers.

Wow, that makes me question my eyes, because that's exactly the opposite of how I view them. Maybe I need to give them both another rewatch when I get the time.

Me too, but i have watched each numerous times. I do agree with them that tet is better than Higgins at comebacks and curls. I think that Higgins is better working over the middle of the field.

I normally agree with Harmon on his WR takes. While I agree with Harmon that he will do well out of the slot where i disagree is that I think he is very good on the boundry. Tet also seems more finesse to me and has more problems separating on primary routes.

Tice points out how many times Fifta threw on the scramble still and Tet was great at that

There's no reason they can't, if they are smart. R4 and R5 should net you IOL guys who will be contributors. I think it could fall for them that R4 at #106 gets them a skilled player that you value, but the draft would need to fall perfectly. #106 could net them a day 1 starter.
My guess is that R4 is a 3rd down back, R5 is a situational DT (run plugger) or LG, and a kicker at the end of R5.
