How can you talk about the team without talking about them but using their resources?
How can you say a player is overpaid without addressing that we aren’t going to spend the money in anyone?

I get that it hurts your feelings to admit that Kraft won’t spend like he needs to but it’s a critical problem with this franchise so maybe your feelings being hurt isn’t that important.

They have not shown that they are unwilling to part with money for the right player this year. They have not thrown it around like a drunken sailor at a whore house, which seems to be what you want them to do.

Do you mean 1) we don't sign him and he uses the Pats to leverage some other team to give him a contract with less money than we offered, or 2) we sign him and he's productive for a while and then blows up and we ship him off? I see those as the two most likely outcomes here.
