Tetairoa McMillan runs a 4.48-4.55 at Pro Day

Tetairoa McMillan needs to be back in serious consideration for the Patriots. He’s got enormous potential as a WR1 for Drake Maye running like that at his size.

lol. 4.48 is what everyone but Pop Douglas runs.

Taking him at 10-14 would be OK but 4 is just not the right value
Technically anyone taken at 4 (other than Carter or Hunter) is a reach

Tetairoa McMillan: separation concerns
Will Campbell: wingspan is shorter than his height, profiles as an NFL LG more than an NFL LT
Mason Graham: weighed in much less than expected, undersized for DT in a class deep at that position
Armand Membou: physical profile is that of a RT which he played exclusively in college, raw physical gifts, poor technique, needs time to develop
Ashton Jeanty: RB's have short shelf lives and are poor bets this early unless generational, RB deep class, may struggle behind this OL
Tyler Warren: only TE to ever go #4 was Kyle Pitts, not a priority with Henry and Hooper
Shedeur Sanders (if another team uses the #4 via trade) : opinions all over the place on how good Sanders is or isn't

It's a good draft to trade down for extra picks if Carter or Hunter are gone, but if no one else is biting, somebody has to be taken at #4. They may not be worth that in most draft years but that's where we are with this year.

I agree. Although Henry and Hooper are short term at best at this stage in their career's. I wouldn't take Hunter at #4. If we have to pick at #4 (because we can't trade down), I'd still go with Warren. A #1 weapon in the passing game (at least for this season), doesn't need to be a WR. It can be a TE. Although we had Edleman and White, it was Gronk at his best that kept DC's up at night. And add warren with Henry and Hooper this season, that could be something.

Warren's a batshit crazy pick at 4.
No offense, I don't even think he's the best TE in the draft, even though he's rated highest.

Yes, at a pro day no less.
Mike Siani famously moved a yardage marker before running on his pro day.

He recorded a better than expected 40 time which got him drafted in the 1st round.

Didn’t help him when the pads came in but he got overdrafted and paid.

So he got THAT going for him,

Which was nice.

Definetely a wr with separation concerns is not worth #4 pick because we already have plenty of these on the roster

I think people are down on contested ball receivers after the Harry disaster. There have been a lot of great to elite WRs in this league who were not blessed with blazing speed and won contested balls all the time. I don't know enough about McMillan to know if he could fall into that category, but I think many are dismissing him based on Patriots past drafting of contested ball receivers rather than looking at this guy without that baggage.

Teta Mc just made the #4 Spot salivating some Teams are licking their chops. We want a 2025 Second Rounder to star.

Ignore Harry.
Remember the Devante Parker disaster. Big guys that don't separate went out of fashion with Keyshawn Johnson.

This theory I can get behind.

These elite type wr of mike evans dk metcalf etc they are not only contested catch guys they beat their man

I think its crazy how a guy puts in a body of work for a whole season and just because he runs under 4.5 at his pro day he is suddenly a much better WR than he was 10 minutes ago when we didn't know his 40 time. Lol. He was falling into the deep teens and now some of you want him at 4. Its ridiculous. He is the same guy as on his film.
Normally I'd agree but I think he was falling because his forty was a question mark and then he didn't run at the combine.

If he wasn't originally considered a top ten pick and the forty is what made him rise your point would absolutely be more valid.

This is just reversing a fall that maybe never should have happened.
