He says we blew a chance to take Drake and the Pats back into Super Bowl relevancy by selecting Vrabel over Ben Johnson. He even goes as far as to say Ben turned down the Commanders last year once he learned that they were selecting Daniels over Maye. That's how bad he wanted to coach him. It's a pretty funny watch so I felt I should share since it's not likely going to garner attention otherwise.

It might be mistake, but I see Ben Johnson crashing and burning in Chicago. I think he played games with Bob and really wanted the Bears job.

I also wanted Ben Johnson but I love the combo of Vrabel and McDaniels.
I feel like McDaniels could be just as good for Drake as Ben Johnson could be.

I was in favor of a new face. Ben certainly seemed like the ideal opportunity to start with a clean slate.

Who is this fool
He hates the Patriots
He gave it away when he says “Drake Maye will get paid. Hopefully not with the Patriots”
He sounds like someone who likes to hear himself talk.
Hence a 6 minute argument that took him 20 plus minutes

We won't know until things play out. Vrabel was the safer less sexy choice and Johnson was the risk.

So we are basically waiting to see if Johnson lives up to all the hype or see if Vrabel wasn't the problem on the Titans and if we can do better here. If Ben Johnson has a team that is balling out and Vrabel is just middle of the road then we won't live it down. If Johnson fails miserably, we will say "well at least we dodged a bullet".

Too early to tell. Personally I think he'll be better than Mayo but he'll have a ceiling and like the Titans the honeymoon where wear off.

I find the debate about culture and motivation pretty interesting. There are a number of people that do not think that Culture makes a difference in professional sports. What are opinions here? I think culture is a big thing, but not the only thing.

Just because he was a successful OC doesn't mean he would be a successful head coach. See josh mcdaniels. Besides the ''old regime'' brought us ten super bowls and Six titles

Not as bad as the "Roasted" guy, but this dudes a fkn clown, People seem to think Ben Johnson did everything on his own, and that he'll do the same thing as a 1st time HEAD COACH, with BooCoo new responsibilities.
It's like a clown show, some of these clowns think he'll be a do it as a be it all savior....I guess his day is 36hrs long... maybe he can hire Mrs. Williams to sit on the sidelines and rock her baby asleep between each bad series.

The old regime was led by Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Both of who are never walking through that door again.

We know what McDaniels is without those guys. Jury is out on Vrabel but his sample size right now is a mixed bag and we have to just hope that the reasons he got fired from the Titans (and why the majority of their fanbase is not remotely sad about it) had more to do with ownership than him.

Johnson could fail as well. But there's no successful coach in the history of the league that didn't start out by someone taking a chance on them.

I am of the opinion that we could stand to take the risk. The jury is still out on whether or not Drake is the future. We were all singing the praises of Mac after his rookie season. Granted that was under Josh as his OC but the whole culture thing is BS IMO. Vrabel should get us to .500 in the win column but that's not the ultimate goal.

It just sounds exhausting to have to pick one extreme end of every football argument and then defend that position to the death regardless of how silly those predictions look in hindsight, but that’s kind of this guy’s shtick.

I didn't realize Bill Walsh and Don Coryell had a love child that is the untried Ben Johnson. If he had just submitted a DNA test I'm sure Krafty Bob would have handed him the keys to the kingdom

If Ben Johnson doesn’t realize his life was made immeasurably easier by one of the leagues best offensive lines, that he had little to do with assembling, he will fall flat on his face. The Bears aren’t talented, they need a strong dose of team building.

The first thing that begs understanding: coaching an entire football team is light years removed from being a coordinator. And Ben Johnson was offensive coordinator in Detroit for only three seasons. If he's a mere mortal in addition to a completely unknown commodity as head coach, a steep learning curve awaits.

This stuff about turning down the Commanders job because of Daniels over Maye sounds like B.S. If there was any truth to it you'd have to question Johnson's judgment. Regardless, Johnson wanted the Chicago job all along. There was nary a word of him hankering for the Patriots/Maye during the interview process.

BTW, that idiot in the video looks/talks/acts like someone I'd cheerfully smash in the face with a brick.
