Could coach Vrabel and McDaniels turn Pickens into the top receiver we all know he could be?

yes.

what are you giving up to get him?

The question shouldn't be 'could' they, it should be would they be willing to. And the answer is an emphatic Hell No. In Vrabel's 1st press conference he made a point of saying he was going to eliminate a sense of entitlement. So why the hell would they willingly import one?

Pickens is just what every rebuilding offense desperately needs, a selfish, inconsistent, wildly talented, though thoroughly unreliable player. Those are the kinds of players we built a 20 year era of UNPRECIDENTED excellence around. Yeah, go get me George Pickens he's just what we need.

Wait....I might need some help here, the SARCASM valve seems to be stuck .

For an entitled POS that refuses to run block. I am beyond thrilled you are not the GM.

Double down pass.
Vrable would never stand for that ****. He's as responsible for the "Patriot Way" as Tedy, Brady, Willie, Vince. I don't see Pickens happening.

I'm not totally out on him, but... I don't think I'd ever come close to being willing to give up the draft capital that Pitt would likely want for him. I'd probably max out at like a 4th.

Why do we covet every knuckleheaded WR with a little ability and a lot of baggage? This guy is a bonehead.

Too much Ross. Way too much. I don't want this guy for a 6th.

Thats a tough one. Guy has major issues but also would be an incredible asset for maye. Maye’s deep ball is pretty special and if he can throw guys open like boutte can only imagine what hed get done with pickens.

If it’s something cheap like a 4th rounder might be worth the flier for the potential ceiling. Worst case you lose the 4th and pay him next to nothing this year, then let him walk if he acts up here.

For anyone who watched the NFC North Hard Knocks series, you're talking about a guy who Mike Tomlin literally had to hug on the sideline and try and get him back into the game after he had a ball go off his hands, and that was apparently an issue with him all year long whenever things got tough, if he dropped a pass, got outplayed, etc. No thanks.

Pats haters are going to hate: like so many other WR's George Pickens should have been ours but the GOAT HC thought otherwise.

It's tough...the problem is that they're probably going to face some additional adversity before things really get better. And if God forbid they hit a spell where they lose a bunch of games and things are a little ugly, he's already shown he won't be a guy who is willing to ride it out. I just feel like it's too big of a risk, especially when they're trying so hard to change the culture under this new staff.
