They all had key roles to play. It annoys me when fans **** on this man. There is a reason BB kept them around. Things like this.
To mirror what he is saying, watch the video from here (start at 1:40:15 mark-enjoy), watch when and how Hightower moved form the middle to the outside. Just fantastic stuff. I did not even notice this subtle move.
Note they had crossed the white lines too.

My god, Malcolm Mitchell would have been a player. Damn.. Looking at the execution in the fourth quarter makes me feel that I was ungrateful and took such high precision execution for granted. That direct snap to James White can be screwed up in so many ways. All their play calls were of high precision design.

Hadn't realized how much I missed those in-game chess moves which made football such a joy to watch. Totally absent from this past shipwreck of a season.

Such a minor detail as realizing that Freeman was an early down back and thus wasn't used to third down tendencies makes a big difference in these kinds of high stakes game. Freeman as the early down back isn't going to have the mentality of re-keying on a changed front which happens often on a third down. Once the protection is set, that's it. Lock and load. That's why you see him standing there like the statue of liberty as HT blows by him on the blindside. You can see his brain is like: "This does not compute."

Grandmaster chess, vs. a Cracker Barrel checkers JAG.

Matt P’s description of Bill staring down Pete before Malcom’s INT is more of the same. Timing the calls. That stare makes me think of a cobra getting ready to strike. It’s what those guys are made for. And it’s so fun to watch, when they’re on your side. It’s no wonder the rest of the league hates them, though.

And just btw Matty spilling the deets to Jules on anything has become must-watch, in my book.

The Hightower strip sack was the same playcall as when Ninkovich stopped Lynch on 3rd and 1 inside the NE10 at the start of the second half in XLIX. Seattle had to settle for a field goal.

Right after this Patricia talks about the Flowers sack on Ryan. On that play Hightower gets mugged by Austin Hooper, and after the play Hightower complains to the official about no flag. Patricia said as soon as he saw that, he knew there would be a holding call if the Pats rushed again, which is what happens on the next play when Chris Long gets held to knock the Falcons out of FG range.

So Patricia is there, taking into this sheet , covering his mouth and just watching every ****. I see why BB loves him so much.

IIRC he told High to blitz again, to stress the D and make holding more likely.

That’s grandmaster checkers level stuff.
