My immediate reaction was “thanks Jonathan (I think).”Bedard said he believes this change was largely driven by Jonathan

He'll be alright. This will be 4 OC’s in 4 years for Drake Maye.
As the year went on all I could think of was the Mike Singletary comparison. A good player and a guy that people liked but not a good head coach.Still do, but he's just another player who's not a good coach.
I think whoever they choose as HC
Will have a say on who that HC can work with
If it is Vrabel or Johnson
No way Wolf stays
Not like Wolf has shown promise
Wolf **** his pants too
Something happenedMakes you wonder if he did/said something to REALLY piss them off.
Of course I'm going to take a shot at the Krafts.
Bob said that he was afraid that when Mayo was interviewing for HC positions 2 years ago they were going to lose him.
This is the level of evaluation abilities in Foxboro right now.
The Patriots ownership MUST step out of all football decisions. They STILL don't have a clue what they are doing. The fact that Kraft wrote that in tonight's message tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about how the organization is run.
Rather than feel a little less confident about one's football evaluation abilities, he explained what he did as though it was a perfectly reasonable and rational process that failed only because another person (Mayo) did not live up to the billing.
There was no introspection whatsoever.
The Patriots need a GM and a new personnel guy, and hopefully they will all arrive as a team with the new Head Coach.
Brian Flores
Mike Vrabel
Ben Johnson
Come on down...
100 percent. And for the virtual signalers out there, get out of here with that ****. Chucky knows what's out there in the NFL stratosphere when it comes to ****ed up **** being sent around and is trying to expose it. Maybe not for the right reasons, but still. The NFL is pushing back for a reason.
Chucky is the man for the job. I doubt Kraft hires him, but he is the guy.
I am ok with Vrabel. I'm just iffy on first time head coaches. Feel like you're playing with fire. No college coaches either.
But I agree with it should be an exhausting search been saying this since they announced Mayo as the coach. If for no other reason get an understanding of how other people see your organization and how what their vision is for the future. This has been a completely wasted year that could of ended with a constellation prize but we managed to **** that up.
If, Wolf stays I hope it comes with a organizational restructuring and modernization as Breer mentioned. But at a minimum bring in an experienced football guy to at least put some guard rails around Wolf along with mentorship.
Unclear. The only person to report it is Trollin' so...take it with however many grains of salt you want.Is AVP out too ? So direction Cleveland?
I’ve heard yes and no.Is AVP out too ? So direction Cleveland?
Goodie's probably already got a script for docking the Pats next several 1st round picks if Gruden comes in.Hiring Gruden would be hiring a coach that hates Goodell just as much as our fanbase does. Match made in heaven
As I said in another thread, I like the idea of Vrabel.
There are similarities to Belichick’s and Vrabel’s coaching histories.
Both BB and Vrabel beat the Pats in playoff games while with the Browns and Titans.
Both are no nonsense types who will establish a disciplined culture.
Both were let go by the Browns and Titans, after front office conflicts, but really not because of the on field performances.
Yeah Ben Johnson is enticing, but I see Vrabel as more of the sure thing to right the franchise right now.
No one saw BB as a future great when the Browns let him go. Vrabel doesn’t have that history, YET.
And he WANTS to be here.
Is he still here?? AVP is like that X that won't go away.Is AVP out too ? So direction Cleveland?
I have a feeling this might be the most likely.Vrabz and Daboll as his OC.
Gruden's mentioned because "Name I have heard of before". Same with Josh McDaniels. Can we just have those three in some capacity together? Ben as HC. Flores on defense. Vrabel on... Calling Teammates Big ****ies Coach?
Not sure why Gruden is getting mentioned. His recent stint with the Raiders was a team that saw improvement in offensive PPG, but collapsing in the back half, antiquated coaching, and he prolly squandered more 1st round picks in the little time he had that second time around. Do not want him anywhere near our draft room. We already are on thin ice as it is there.
