What can I say, he's living the gangsta life...
As bad as it has been with Mayo this year, it could be worse. This isn't Bill Belichick with McDaniels and Brady running the offense so that Belichick can turn his back to work with the defense. This is the 4-12 Jets who had to demote the OC because the offense is a wreck.
It’s worse with Mayo.
The Jets do have talent and already fired their coach AND GM. They’ll replace both in a few weeks and there will be a reason to think things will improve.
With the Pats, they have almost no talent and the coach and GM are unqualified idiots who the ownership seems dead set on keeping just to stroke their own ego.
So sad to say it but the Jets have it better.
But the Pats are also dysfunctional NOW and don’t seem keen on changing it. Having cap space doesn’t really do anything to fix it.Mayo makes things bad, but it's still worse with the Jets.
We have cap and Maye.
I'll build with that over a multi-decade dysfunctional franchise making their thousandth change.

Rodgers will be playing next year for the Raiders or Niners...no doubt (if he does not retire)
Yeah, instead Kraft picks his head coach based on how good he makes him feel during a spiritual trip to Israel. We don't know what the Pats will do in the offseason, but I will guarantee you that Bob Kraft won't kibosh a deal for Tee Higgins because his grandkid isn't impressed with Higgins' Madden rating.

What’s the difference, really?
No but I’m not talking about the 2000s and 2010s. They weren’t dysfunctional then. They are now in Robert’s old age, and Jonathan has done nothing of note to prove he’s better. The difference is Kraft hired Bill and won 6 Super Bowls in the last 2+ decades.
Would Woody have left Bill alone for two decades?

Agreed that I am making assumptions, if they do can him then I would be eating some crow. But still we really don't know what is going to happen.
When Kraft promised Thunder the job he envisioned leaving a contender to him multiple years from then. It was a bad move for sure, but he still has a chance to right it.
If Kraft cleans house next week, the narrative completely changes.
Let's wait till then because I think Mayo is gone.
