Who are the untouchable players moving forward?

Guys who are not available whatsoever. No matter what. I'm talking realistically. Giants offer the Pats their next three 1st rounders for Maye? NE probably takes it. Maye & Gonzalez for me. Who you got?

Giants offer their next 3 first rounders for Mahomes, K.C. definitely takes it. The next QB class is just too good to pass up.

Maye, Gonzalez, Marcus Jones, Barmore, Keion White.

I'm taking phone calls on literally everyone else.
I'm not moving Hunter Henry until there is at least one other good pass catcher on the team. The offense right now would die if he ever wasn't in the fold. He's literally the safety net and the only consistant pass catcher on the team.

Good call.

The QB potential in this coming draft looks like **** from what I have seen/heard. If they sent Drake to another team for 3 1st round picks over 3 years, I wouldn't be a fan anymore. To get your guy with his potential and then ship him off would be idiotic. I think Drake will eventually be a top 5 QB once there is decent talent around him. If he can play as well as he has with this **** team, just imagine what he could do with a stacked team. Not to sound cliche, but he could be the second coming....well it would be nice. Imagine the hate and vitriol we would get if it came to fruition.....Ahhhhh like the good old days. >=D

I think they would have taken the picks during the draft this year if they were thinking of sending him off after 1 year. It would at least cut down on the drama that would be associated with them doing this (looking like ownership/coaching is inept/dysfunctional). As for other players, sure. Everyone is expendable aside from a talented QB during a rebuild.

The idea of trading Maye really inspires me to a vulgar response, but I’m really trying to keep it in check.

Maye- untouchable
Gonzo would take a offer you can’t refuse
Barnmore, White - I would trade one if we got a nice package
Would keep Henry and Pop, Marcus Jones

There is no way they would trade away Maye, would be an idiotic move and would cause massive fan unrest.

I think Maye is the only truly untouchable guy on this roster.

Gonzalez and Barmore are both close, but if someone is offering two 1st round picks, you're probably picking up that phone.

Maye, gonzo,Barmore - hands off! everyone else we can listen to any offer on. Obviously we have our Franchise QB, you have be to able to have pillars on defense to build off of.. So Barmore and gonzo are those pillars.

QB is too risky and takes too long to develop to make a change if you have one you like. Ivan made a good point about 3 firsts for Mahomes. No way KC would do that. Every other position should always be available for a ridiculous offer.

With this team, at this time the other untouchable players are the locker room guys who are part of establishing the new culture. Regardless, trades usually don't help a team move forward in the short term because the return in the NFL is not great. The only way a trade helps right away is if it is a case of addition by subtraction or when giving up a position of depth and getting a player back at a different position. Otherwise you are taking away from your roster, usually for a draft pick who can't help right away.

Gonzo is a rare breed of size, speed, agility, ball skills. I'd say he's untouchable along with Drake. I remember from about 2009 to 2013 we had some pretty ****ty secondary play we were giving up 400 yards passing a game.

I agree that Gonzo is not someone to trade without a kings ransom. If the haul was big enough I would consider it because the whole defense does not have to start over if you replace a CB. Last year was an example of that.

Yes! Without a premiere CB you better have an elite pass rush. However the coverage and the rush both have to work in unison. For example ty law helped the front 7 immensely with his coverage abilities.

I agree
I don’t expect anyone to give us an offer we can’t refuse for Gonzo. So he’s untouchable
Barnmore I would listen to offers. He has an injury history.
But I prefer to keep all 4

Barmore yeah.. I could agree there. . We drafted him with injury concerns I believe that's why he was a second round pick our if Bama.. he was still dealing with a knee issue his rookie season.

I feel like everyone but Maye is movable. Not to say i don't really like players like Barmore or Gonzalez, but they aren't absolutely top tier talent. They aren't top 100 players in this league. We amazingly don't have a single player right now i'd rate in the top 100. That is how bad we are. I'd be willing to trade either to get help on offense. Of course it would need to be an even trade more or less, but i don't think we'd be asking for the moon back for either.

Panthers are arguably the only other team i can think of who can say the same. That is bad company to be in.

For those who say Christian Gonzales is immovable…the patriots record with him starting is 7-20. We’re not winning games even with his incredible presence in our defensive backfield. Do we trade him for a kings ransom if an offer came in? I would say yes

Disagree. Both Gonzalez and Barmore are top 100 players. Trading away the players you should be building around makes no sense to me. You are trading away impact players in the hope you can get impact players.
