If you live outside NE, I can tell you that people hate the franchise because they lost to the Patriots over and over.

There is nothing that the Patriots did that brought them to that hate. Spygate, deflategate, none of this matters to those people. They hated losing over and over. FULL STOP.

Their team was inadequate. All you need to know.

Unless you are a front runner, it is normal to hate the team that always beats your favorite team. Opposing fans grew to resent the Pats success. They also hated losing to a team led by a QB who dated super models and a coach who treated the media and most other teams with contempt. Man, those were great years. LOL

Bill is the coach that got us 6 SB’s, without him we might have got 2. How soon we forget (to quote you) . I will take those 2 nightmare years with the 20 good any day over any coach . Some fans talk about him like he was the worst coach ever, no loyalty at all. It’s really sad to see .

It was all Mac's fault. Belichick was rebuilding the team, which needed to be done. It's a normal thing.

You need a decent QB to win though in the NFL.

Mac is horrifically bad and always was and always will be.

Belichick could win with many teams without an elite QB. He could win in Dallas, several other places. I don't think anyone could win with the Giants though because Daniel Jones is not an NFL starting level QB. Belichick could certainly win with the Jags.

I agree with you on one point. He isn’t God and never said he was. Just because I choose not to bash him doesn’t mean that I think he is God! Does the fact that Ryland just won the "Special teams player of the month" honor help, hurt, or make no difference to your " BB wasted a 4th(+6th) on a kicker" argument? I can actually see why it wouldn't matter since Ryland is no longer on the Pats and good kickers can be acquired as free agents( see Slye, Joey). Just wondering if this almost meaningless award changes anything? I actually hope Ryland goes on to become the next Vinatieri, but I am not holding my breath
