Dak Prescott: Loser.

Still better than Brisket though.
Why are these 2 things in the same post?

They aren't comparable one is a legit starter even if he's a bit of a loser. The other is journeyman backup and borderline starter at best (and he failed at it).

Interesting news, Cam Robinson was traded to the Vikings. He will be a free agent after this season, it seems unlikely the Vikings would retain him. He’s not great and is injury prone but in my view quite a bit better than any OT available going into FA this past offseason.

(as soon as the off-season starts then) Sign the Beast!

Vikings have traded with the Jaguars for a replacement Left Tackle.

Edit: Wrong Thread

Because Prescott was still available when Brisket was chosen.
It’s a moot point though as he wouldn’t have started until the Pats exercised his 5th year option without really ever seeing him play aside from the games he would’ve played in place of Jacoby in 2016. That would’ve been crazy to see him as the 3rd QB to Tom and Jimmy though.

Why do you think the Vikings wouldn't retain him? Seems like the trade is a way to get to know him for half a season and have first chance to sign him for the next few years.

I think he means this last off season.

He meant the draft that's what the Captain does.
Probably, and to be fair, he knows a lot more than I do about the players in the draft. But in an odd coincidence. Brissett and Prescott were available at the same time in the draft and now in this last off season, when the Pats picked Brissett. (Well, sort of. It was pretty clear the Cowboys were keeping Prescott.)

He definitely knows college ball more than me. I just don't care for that hindsight draft game. And I don't even care if you said it pre draft. Every pick is surrounded by other players you could have chose.

I mean if we play this game every selection in 2000 was a failure since everyone could have been Brady instead.

They have Christian Darrisaw at LT whom they recently signed to a big extension and who has been a “foundational player” for the.m since they spent a 1st round pick on him. I am simply guessing that Robinson wants to be a LT and make more money when his current contract expires at the end of this season.

I would hope the Pats would “burn some cash” this next offseason addressing LT and of the FA prospects I know about at this point I consider Robinson to be the best. Addressing LT in FA - better than they tried last offseason - would free them up possibly to draft someone who could be elite, which I consider to be crucial almost irrespective of that elite player’s position (I say "almost" because I think they have a guy who can be a franchise QB, maybe a franchise level CB, a good punter, a good punt returner, a good TE, a good strong safety, and a good whatever Keion White is).

We can all see it, they have a ton of needs, and pretty much no dominant player on their roster. Their need for a Lt1 is extreme, I think its by far their biggest need, but as much as I like a prospect like Will Campbell, I think they need a guy that can take over a game like Jefferson, the lunatic in Miami, Kittle, Attention Whore #87 in KC, Chris Jones, TJ Watt, Nick Bosa, and Hutchinson, or a guy teams need to game plan to avoid like (IMHO) Roquan Smith, Sauce, Jeffrey Simmons, and maybe still Henry and Barkley, etc.
