Maye said he tries to get everyone the ball if he can because he knows everyone wants the ball. He isn't going to force it but if they have a good matchup he tries to get them the ball but stay within the structure.

This mofo is smarter than most of the NFL QBs imo. Just the way he talks and carries himself has to be endearing to his teammates. No wonder nobody had anything bad to say about him at all.
I listened to an interview from his HS coach and he said that Drake would check stats during the game to see who might need more targets to keep them engaged. I am pretty sure it was his HS coach.

I'd expect a repeat of the Jags i.e. long NYJ drives based on runs and a few throws when needed. Don't see how we stop that happening when we couldn't last week, or the week before, or the week before etc. The "blueprint" is out.
i think we will play better than the jags game and keep it close.

This boils down to putting pressure on Fraudgers. If he has time to throw the Patriots have no chance.

Its the natural cycle my brother. We spent 20 years on top of the league, now its our turn to spend a few at the bottom. Hopefully maye is around long enough until we find our footing.
This is the second year at the bottom. When are our dues paid and our slate made clean?

Who ever thought that the Jets would be the Victor in Sunday's 1 PM game.

How do you feel when the Jets are a 7 point favorite in our house?

Mayo wasn't ready but Kraft pulled the trigger on Belichick and then created a VP job because Kraft broke the Rules hiring Eliot Wolf as GM without interviewing black candidates. Cheater Kraft we know that, we know him, how many gates did they have?

This is the NFL.
Would you buy a ticket for a game with the Patriots playing the Jets in 2024?

How sad, the Patriots are the underdog against the Jets.

I think as early as next season if they do their due diligence and actually put in some work when hiring the next HC.

None, absolutely None, of the blame can be placed on Belichick.

Except for some really bad drafting and an abysmal choice of offensive coaches one year and completely neglecting the offensive side of the roster.

To some degree Belichick justifiably mortgaged the future while Brady was here to try to give him some weapons - we gave up significant draft picks for free agents. That will always come back to bite you later as the drafted players are always cheaper.

Looked like he face painted on the goal line when he tripped on the 2 point attempt. Concussion?
I don't necessarily cheer for injuries but this one is timely.

Pats are playing a pretty desperate Jets team. Rodgers looks pretty cooked, so we can expect a heavy dose of Breece Hall to test how soft the Pats are. The Pats are becoming that team you don’t want to lose to so the Jets have extra motivation.

With all the outside noise, Mayo is sweating and desperately needs a win to quiet things down. Another ass kicking at home against the Jets of all teams could cause things to go nuclear.

Serious question but why do you think they will play better? What have you seen from the coaching and players (except Maye) that leads you to believe they will play better? Is it the fact that we believe they cant get worse? Not trying to be sarcastic I just want to see where the optimism is coming from.

Win or lose I hope they come out with some fire and and least play a competitive game. If they come out and repeat what we’ve seen the last month, Mayo has truly lost the locker room. Be great if they win, but I’m curious to see and hope they come together as a team and play with urgency and fire.

I have rooted for lousy Pats teams in the past, over many years. I was content to see progress. I appreciated the team's efforts. I was comfortable the team was doing what it could. When the failures persisted, I sort of felt compassion for the players, owners, coaches, whom I felt were doing what they could, the failures notwithstanding. I don't sense any of that these days. This looks like pure, unadulterated ******** to me, and I resent it.
Do you think it's possible that the "plan" was to suck for another year so they could cash in for 2025?

The Pats are down (about as far as they can be) and the Jets are up (well, as far up as they get) and it's no surprise that the Jets are favored. They should be.

If there's anyone who created the cheating label for the Pats beside the NYFL it's Belichick, aka Belicheat. Kraft's issue was him not standing up to the NYFL to stop their nonsense.

If it was, they could have spoken in such a way as to signal this. In any case, the fact that there may have been a two-year plan does not justify wasting the first year on the alleged plan with an incompetent coach who is failing to develop the resources on hand, even to coach them up on the fundamentals, let alone rebuilding the team's culture through his interactions with them. NONE of this has happened. The team grows worse by the week: was this part of the plan? One does not know, because your head coach cannot get through a damned sentence without contradicting himself. Nor does the existence of such a plan justify the asinine mismanagement of the roster on the GM's part. Nor does it justify the owners' failure to implement a legitimate hiring process, one in which actyal HC candidates were interviewed and considered on the basis of their actual qualifications for the job rather than a process which was a mere rubberstamp for the octogenarian owners' infatuation with a single, obviously unqualified candidate based on his charm as a travel companion.

This is a mess. The sooner we acknowledge that, the sooner we can start over. Again.

If Mayo gets sweep by everyone in the division then he ain't the guy.
