One-if: Wolf GM of the year still stands all their hopes are on Maye.

I agree on Maye. He is a good person too so I like Maye as a player and as a person.

I could have picked Maye. You could have picked Maye. A good GM picks guys that others miss like Douglas in the 6th round. Wolf sucks really really badly. Did you hear Wolf's two press conferences? Polk has no separation. Wallace in the 3rd round because he can switch to LT - that lasted two practices. Robinson in the 4th because he is really strong but he can't move so guys run around him. Stone hands Baker in the 4th? Can anyone even remember Wolf's 5th to 7th round picks?

Nitpick much One-if??

They're all Rookies you have to give them time it has been pointed out Polk have been open many times but you know who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Give the Rookie O-Linemen a year in our system to learn Rome wasn't build in a day.

Great players almost always shine their first year. Did Thuney or Douglas need time for us to see they were good? Even Sow started immediately as a rookie 4th rounder.

With Wolf's picks we have to wait years

Maye Day will help speed up the process.

Maye might be great. Polk might be OK. The rest look awful. Let's be honest.
Javon Baker will be a Stud in due time not every WR come in the League and look like world beaters in year one. Some guys make the second year Jump right now they are just learning and waiting for their opportunity. Again don't give up on Baker we haven't seen the best of him.

Stone hands Baker? One of the highest drop rates of all college receivers. Now Baker will catch the ball when the game goes faster and the defenders are bigger? Baker was dropping balls in preseason against guys who are now at home on their couches.

Seems like they're not happy with T Thornton so Baker might be the guy to get his reps as long as he remembers the plays and know where to line up. I have an eye for WR's One-if and Baker caught my eyes. Please trust the process.

TT is very disappointing. I was hoping. Too bad if true. What a bust.

Boutte looks like a #4, maybe #3. With Douglas and Polk we only need one more. Baker is not that player.

If what shecefter and reiss are reporting than Sunday we are likely to see Drake. One thing I'll got back to is when Mayo announced Brissett as starting QB he did say " what's good for the team now, may not be what is good for the team weeks from now"
Apparently the team was waiting for Maye to be ready before they put him out there. If he's in there he's ready.
Time to play pro football kid.

Can't lay that one on the ST coach, his 11 guys were set. Problem was Uche jogging to the sideline with zero urgency and having one foot on the field when the ball was snapped. That's one "special teams miscue" that had nothing to do with the special teams unit.
Fans give coaches too much blame for the bad and too much credit for the good. Unless a coach makes a glaring mistake it's on the players.

I'm gonna choose to believe that Maye will come into this game and play really well and we'll get a win here.
Imagine the uproar if he does and then imagine what would happen if they go 9-3 the rest of the way and miss out on the playoffs by a game. That would make things very interesting around here.

Some do some don't. Manning didn't shine his first year.

That's what I say. For the life of me it's like fans enjoy watching Brissett play. Yeah I know the OL was an issue however it's time to man up and begin your legacy maye.

I'd say most don't.

Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Steve Young, Kurt Warner, Troy Aikman, John Elway, James Harrison didn't exactly shine when they started in the NFL. Josh Allen was mediocre in his rookie season. Terry Bradshaw's TD/INT was hilariously bad in his rookie year. Even Adam Vinatieri was nothing special in his first year.

Maybe some positions are more successful than others.
