This was predictable. Even as a fan, Kraft’s obvious PR campaign for himself last year rubbed ME the wrong way.

He’ll get in eventually, but not likely soon.

Controversial take:

I don’t think owners should even be eligible. And yes, that certainly includes Jerruh Jones.

Exception being a guy like Al Davis who actually coached.

In before the rubbing jokes!

every owner in the HoF has made a push for enshrinement in one way or another.

I do not care if RKK has done the hard sell on his candidacy or has just been pressing flesh behind the scenes.

If they can put schmucks like Jerry Jones and Ralph Wilson in the HoF, RKK is surely worthy of such accolades.

Hope he gets in before he goes to the great massage parlor in the sky...

Some owners have been great contributors to the game.

You can argue Kraft was instrumental in media/TV deals, labor negotiations and stabilizing the NEP so they had an opportunity to be a dynasty.

...and who was the GM for 3 Super Bowl champions.

This right here, plus 6 Lombardi trophies. I don't know if the city that is Patriot Place has any bearing, but I would think that enters into it.

of course kraft should be in if jones is in....these nfl owners are a bunch of whiney petty jealous hypocritical little *****es with skeletons in their closets everywhere. isn't the afc champ trophy named after a molester of a mentally challenged sister in law ?

Certainly PP has regional importance but not sure it would be something the HoF selection board would take into consideration when he becomes eligible.

Just another in a long list of reasons why the whole process of football HOF elections is a slimy stew of personal agendas of the electors. It is inevitable in its current configuration that consistency is nonexistent.

I second the motion that the HOF should be reserved for players and coaches. No owners, Commissioners, referees, video guys. Toughest one there for me would be no GMs, which would mean a guy like Bill Polian for example wouldn’t be in. Al Davis would be my only exception to this but only because I always felt he was the head coach there with the guy who was named head coach running the offense. My rationale on that is that a GM still needs both the player and coaches to put the guy in the position to succeed on the field. That’s what counts to me and so the coaches have direct impact on what happens on the field, GMs don’t. Regarding coaches I wouldn’t have any with less than 2 Super Bowls or league championships (NFL, AFL, AAFL, not CFL), so no Marv Levy, Don Coryell, Tony Dungy, or Bill Cowher.

And F Don Shula even though he did deserve HOF election as well as he deserved being chained to a rock he must push up a hill for eternity.

No idea. I guess it's probably a footnote. Hey, look what he built.

Look at the owners in the HoF

Dan Rooney/Squealers
Ralph Wilson/Bills
Eddie DeBartolo/49ers
Jerruh/Cowboys
Pat Bowlen/Broncos

Halas, Al Davis were owners but obviously coaches/GMs as well...and successful ones.

There is no question Kraft is in that group and then some.

Ralph Wilson??? Honestly.....

Eddie debartolo was more crooked than Lombard Street

Ralph Wilson is a head scratcher

Dan Rooney is a legacy

Pat Bowlen? His resume is no more substantial than Roberts

Kraft and Jerry Jones have been two of the most influential and important owners in the league since they bought their respective teams. Both men were alleged to have "overpaid" for their teams but had foresight and a vision for what the league could become. Kraft bought up the land around old Foxboro Stadium along with the land the stadium was on and Jones found a way to have his own "personal" (I believe he used Texas Stadium to be his side of the sponsorship deals) business sponsors that were direct competitors to league sponsors.

Between the two of them they have 9 Super Bowl rings and two of the top 3 most valuable franchises and both have been major factors in the league's explosive growth over the last 30 years. Between the marketing approach, the revenue sharing, and the fact they are able to beat the player's union into submission time and time again Kraft is a huge part of the success of the league.

With all that being said, the 32 owners are all very wealthy and powerful men and as we see time and time again the more wealthy and powerful the more petty and vindictive these types can be. Between the "cheating" scandals, the massage parlor ordeal, and the flat out arrogance and "We're better than you" attitude (my favorite part of being a fan during the dynasty), it is not a huge surprise some of these rich owners are doing what they can to block Kraft's entry into the hall of fame.
