The Bill Boyz are just as Bad as the Brady Boyz were

Obviously I'm sticking with my guy Brady but to make a case for Mahomes the key for him will be not losing a couple in the middle (though those will be part of tie breakers if needed).

If he manages the 3peat then he puts himself ahead of pace and if he doesn't go several before his next one he could creep up without having to play to mid 40s.

That's still obviously a lot that would have to happen and unless he even gets close there will never be a debate.

But to the point of this debate I think either would actually pretty much give any team in the league a chance at playoffs. They are both that good.
Oh without a doubt. You touched on alot of good points. Brady played in much more dangerous era than Mahomes. The rules are so geared towards protecting the QB especially at 55 million a season for a top QB. Guy took a dirty hit in 08 costing us another SB. On Mahomes he does have a nagging ankle issue. And we know players don't get healthier as thier carrers go on. Eventually Lamar is going to break through and at least get to the superbowl.. I think the best chance for that is this season! I can never doubt Mahomes, but I guess until we see it.. hard to say for sure if what Brady did can be replicated with 7 superbowls.

They did draft what looks like a good QB for the future, they have a lot of work to do the next two years still.
I'm confident we will see Drake this season. It's important for many reasons. But the most important is being able for the league to see him in meaningful games. That attracts FAs offensive and defensive guys want to come play with a good QB. In a perfect world the O line plays well this season and at least you know you have a line that can protect. I know it's a stretch to say that.

Blame collaboration, Vederian Lowe arrived last year and is clearly a Wolf guy. You can’t acknowledge what happened the last three years, you also won’t let it go.
Bill was the GM and Bill traded for him. I know you will claim over and over that any bad move Bill made was forced on him by "insert scapegoat of the week here" but Bill was in charge.

Loud mouth Lombardi goes on every platform to speak for Bill. He was outsted when be was here as he didn't like JKs involvement. Lombardi found out the hard way he's hasn't had a NFL job since he left here. To your point bill was in fact the GM.. it may have been a collaboration but bill made the final call on the roster.

I'm of the opinion that it can't but if anyone has a chance it's Mahomes

Lawrence’s first year his coach was Urban Meyer. His regime was considered one of the largest dumpster fires in the modern age. It wasn’t a matter of “putting talent around Lawrence” as much as changing the entire culture and improving execution.

“Talent” being the root cause of every football malady is lazy fan analysis. Some don’t understand football and treat it like a computer simulation run by automaton's instead of actual humans. A team can be hyper talented (Cowboys) but still execute poorly and lose. A team can have median talent (2023 Rams) and still win games.

Lawrence also improved, his sophomore season he attained a level of play Mac never approached and on a median level talented Jacksonville roster. He regressed in year three by turning it over too much, but they saw enough to pay him. He has been a good leader and teammate.

Mac was a terrible leader, he was a dirty player who whined, pointed fingers, sidled up to the owner to get his way. He would throw a terrible ball then demonstrably point at his receiver like it was their fault.

And let’s be very specific, the offense was on a downward trajectory. The defense remained its dominant self. So if BB lost the ability to talk or relate to younger players… it was strictly limited to his fragile insecure QB. His defensive players loved him.

Around 2020 Jonathan took over operations permanently and wanted his team back from the old coach. He wanted to switch to a more player friendly west coast offense, we saw that failed attempt in 2022. He obviously hired Wolf and some offensive coaches. Bill played along to get along, but once it started failing and the QB he never wanted showed he wasn’t “the guy” it all started to fall apart quickly.

The reason BB trotted Mac out there to start repeatedly last season despite failing spectacularly and getting benched four times was the owner/GM insistence that Mac play. It was a fck you move and brilliant, if they wanted Mac then he would shove Mac down their throats until they choked on him. It worked eventually, but too little too late. Bill made Mac a healthy scratch at the end of the season to rub salt in the wound.

Some Pat’s fans live under the illusion a paid employee has more power than the owner… it’s a farce. If you can’t admit in the discord of collaboration over the last three years then you’re being willfully ignorant because you resent Bill.

I root for the laundry… not a coach, not the owner, not the QB. The truth is the truth, whether it’s inconvenient for the agenda driven here is irrelevant. I was critical of BB the same way I’m critical of Mayo or Wolf. Every move is judged on its own merits. Some fans can’t recognize abject objectivity and accuse others of having a bias.

Mac sucked after week 13 of his rookie season with a very good roster around him…. that’s reality.
I agree, but how do you know Jonathan made these decisions?

ESPN report about friction between BB and Jonathan, another report by a local beat reporter saying the same. Lastly Mike Lombardi throwing jabs at Jonathan on his GM Shuffle podcast last week confirms it was true.

Lombardi always runs his mouth off. He's overbearing he never let's the the other person get thier points across. Who cares what he says.. he hasn't had another NFL job in almost a decade.

Jonathan is the owner, Wolf was his boy... but you think an employee has power over an owner. It's an especially dumb thought.

Woozy the O line, the offense was all left bare. Re upped Parker, didn't sign D hop, signed juju.
Treaded for vaderian lowe, signed reiff, Terence Wheatley, gave Chris board a special team players 5 million guaranteed. Gave Trent Brown a raise. Personally I'm not busting bills balls I'm just calling it what it is.

Bill left a great defense but a pitiful offense.
The offense was a blob of Wolf's guys, BB's guys and the coaches Wolf hired to run a west coast system on a team that ran an Earnhardt-Perkins system... in short, it was a clusterfck. Collaboration only works when everyone is collaborating together.

Agree with you there. Part of me was curious could Bill had fixed this? Would anything have changed? However I think it was time.

He's got the best podcast about pro football and team building. Nobody else is close.

He says what most media shills won't because they're beholden to the teams they cover and are afraid to lose access.

He worked for Bill Walsh, Al Davis and Bill Belichick... he knows what he's talking about.

He's been out the NFL since 2017. There is a reason!

He makes more money in media and writing books. But that people here think they know more than him, or he’s a BB shill because he actually told the truth about the Patriots situation is laughable.

He was fired from NE, LV, fired from Cleveland, fired from SF, every where he's been he's been fired. So makes sense to why he's angry. I stopped listening to him after a while it just became a bunch of hot air instead of football acumen. He uses the podcast to ***** and moan to who will listen. There are about 20 other podcasts I'd rather listen to before his.

Jonathan and BB couldn't coexist. There was no path forward. All things end.
JK isn't as sentimental as his dad! There are no lifetime contracts in sports!

Lombardi has been considered a hack by football fans for a long time. This isn't just a Patriots fan thing or a supporting the new regime thing.
