Why isn't Wallace the starting RT instead of Okorafor. Is one of the two recovering from an injury?
I have no idea. I always thought they were gonna start Wallace

Has Andy promised you a job at Project 2027?

He needs to begin compensating you for your takes.

Dude, you are the one on the 2027 train. I already pointed that out. Are you feeling a bit sore, so you decided to wait a day or two and fire back? Nice try. Do better next time.

I feel like the plan was to start the "kids" with the 2s/3s and once they show through performance that they deserve more then they get more. The practice report I read today said that Maye, Wallace and Robinson all got time with the 1s today. I am sure I am in the minority, but this is the way I feel it should be. As a rookie, you are lower on the totem pole and you need to show improvement to get promoted so to speak.

BTW, from Patriots practice today.

After struggling in the joint practice and dropping a deep ball in the preseason loss, Baker repped with the third-team offense and didn’t make any catches in competitive periods. He’s on a cold streak.

It looks like the Patriots coaches agree with me. But that is not surprising. Who agrees with you?

Baker is on a cold streak!!! Who else is on a cold streak? Triumph!!!

You're delusional as usual.

At no time have I ever avoided you.

Ive never heard of an NFL player having a bad practice or game.

Youve struck gold Bannon. Gold!

Yes, it is. I was not aware the the Pats staff was this stupid.

Youre right. This team is in trouble.
Who agrees with you?
I could give a 5hit.

Go smoke some more crack.

At least you are honest and admit that you had no idea Baker is most likely a bust. Hands of stone. You probably don't watch the preseason games which is understandable.

KCSVEN - thanks for your post and your thoughts. I enjoyed it and appreciate the time and effort.

I was looking at Pro Football Focus's grades for the offensive lines and noticed the grades mostly improved from week 1 to week 2 which on the surface is encouraging.

The first number is week one grade, the second number is week two grade, and the third is the change.

Andrews: 67/76 +9
Robinson: 81/59 -22
Okorafor: 51/82 +31
Onwenu: 63/67 +4
Turner: 66/?
Diesch: 58/71 +13
Lowe: 57/68 +11
Sow: 51/70 +19
Jordan: 56/68 +12
Wallace: 60/61 +1
Anderson: 53/65 +12
Fornadel: 62/52 -10
Leverett: 70/39 -31
Mafi: 47/45 -4

I'd be curious what your thoughts are on these numbers and changes from game one to game two. The grades for Mafi seem to support what people have been saying, that he has played poorly. Do you think the improving grades, on average, represent improvement or could they have been playing against lesser competition, or trying a different position on the line? Also, are you surprised by any of the grades? I know it's only two weeks, limited snaps, and it's subjective, but I'm a little disappointed that Wallace is only averaging ~ 61.

but I'm a little disappointed that Wallace is only averaging ~ 61.
I get the disappointment, but I like the consistency. Owenu and Mafi are the only other OL that display that consistency. Mafi is **** though, so for Wallace to be in the same consistency range of Owenu is encouraging. Oh the glass is also half full, LMAO.

I was hopeful that the US drug epidemic was improving.

Now I realize that its worst.

What? You mean like how hands of stone Edelman was? C’mon man…the rookies haven’t even played a down yet in regular season. Don’t get me wrong… I dig that whole hate the Patriots thing but we really need more then 0 snaps to evaluate I think.

Ja’Lynn Polk was the safe WR choice in the draft, but I am not so sure he can get open. I have to wonder if Adonai Mitchell wold have been better, but riskier choice. There were rumors about Mitchell not doing well in interviews, being disinterested, etc. This new administration does not seem mind taking risks, but they may have whiffed on Mitchell. Mitchell is now upset at not being taken in the first round and will be motivated, at least for one year.

Yup. Maye to Polk against a zone defense, or Maye to Baker for 5 to 10-ish yards is OK. Reagor can not catch a long ball, and we saw last Thursday that Baker is not catching the sideline or the deep ball. Who does Baker remind you of on those sidelines and deep balls? Barely open and gets his hands on the ball, but disappoints. If you answered DeVante Parker that is correct.

Maye to Thornton needs to happen if this team is going to win more the 4 games.
Baker for a rookie is a much more polished route runner than Parker was ever! He's a rookie, and he will learn how to play his leverage better on sideline go routes. Polk is actually more of the 5-10 yards guy.. Baker is the down field threat. He's connected on those plenty in camp. He just needs to hold on to the ground. As the season goes along rookies will further adapt and become pros. To your point I don't get why reagor is with the first team offense. We as fans know the first team offense is polk, pop, Baker, * Thornton .

Absolutely agree. baker's is a far superior route runner than Parker was! He's a Rookie! That's easy to fix he will adjust his leverage on those sideline routes. Baker's been the best deep threat the whole camp! I really love the potential polk and baker provide for the offense.

I didn't drop the balls. On the sideline pass Baker didn't even get his hands on the ball to drop. I didn't move Baker to the 3rd stringers at Saturday's practice. I am only guessing why Baker is out of favor with the coaches. If we observe what actually happens, the facts, we are haters?

OL - have to consent to the idea that Lowe is our best option at LT right now, and will be starting. The rest are entrenched.
Backups - Wallace, Robinson, Leverett and probably Anderson. Turner is a dark horse. But he and Jordan will be PS.

WR - sad to see that Osborn has done nothing. But harder to see that our ONLY vet WR on the roster won't make it.
I'd love to see TT or Boutte rise up and take a spot. Polk is going to be a starter. Baker will fight Osborne & TT for reps.
I'm super curious if Wallis could beat out Reagor just due to his route running.

QB - was rooting for Brissett, but he doesn't look the part in game action. He looks like Mac did last year. Tight, hesitant, over-thinking.
They NEED to get Maye to practice with the 1's this week. This is likely going to happen sooner than everyone planned.
Maye should start at WAS, for the 1st quarter with whatever 1's you play. Milton is a gimmick, Zappe is a serviceable #3.

RB - Rham is solid. Nothing special. Harris could push Gibson for #2 if he could catch better. Hasty is the best 3rd Down Vereen/White role. He deserves to be on the team.

TE - Henry worries me due to injury history and age. If we lose him, we're screwed. Hooper should be a better #2 than Gesecki turned out to be. I thought Bell would be tearing up the preseason, but is a BIG 0 so far. Wilcox shows flashes, but drops a LOT.

This analysis is really helpful, Thank you.

The biggest problem is that the Eagles did not play all of their starters on defense while the Patriots' starting and back-up offensive line had misses at virtually every position, except for David Andrews.

I'm all in on the idea of letting Jacoby Brissett take the heat for the first four to six weeks while Drake Maye gets some time in game preparation and watching film in the QB room of full-on defensive pressure and trickery. Maye has the goods, but he's a rookie in a league that eats rookies alive.

When are Hunter Henry and Kendrick Bourne due back? Those two guys need to be on the field for Maye when he sees regular season action.

He may be better than Parker but he still needs work running routes. We’ll see.

I've seen nothing from Parker that showed me he would have been a better route runner.. Parker was a mistake.. I can't count probably 3 to 4 games where he made an impact. Just terrible for a guy who was supposed to be a number 1 option.. baker is a rookie.. he will adapt, and learn how to play better leverage. Sideline routes are always advantages for the DB. The NFL got rid of the force out rule some time ago.

I totally agree on Parker, but Baker needs to work on his routes.
