What a stark difference from last camp when it was reported Bill asked the defense to take it easy so the offense could gain some traction. I love the back and fourth..
BB also spent only 25% of the roster money on the offense in 2023. It was no wonder they got pushed around! But we're moving on. Total rebuild mode now.

Last year we had people telling us there was no way they could trade Jonnu Smith, some said we'd have to attach a draft pick just to trade him. They got a late round pick back for him.

Other teams aren't a bunch of ornery Pat's fans on a message board, if they need WR help he would be a good short term rental for somebody.

I just don't see how any other team could be stupid enough to trade for JuJu. Surely they are keyed into his performance in camp and last year. The might pick him up if he is cut, but there is no way another team would trade for him or pay for part of his salary.

Ryland has been better this offseason. Slye still gets the edge for now as a consistent veteran but if Ryland can deliver for 3 preseason games then maybe we have something.
Wide Left or Wide Right better Hit ALL his Kicks in the Preseason Especially anything under 40 yards. IF he misses any of those see you on the PS. No Team is going to sign a shakey Kicker yeah I am not worried about losing Chad Wide Right.

Trading Jonnu was the Greatest thing BB did as GM Bravo. That said did You see my post on Juju?? He's Running with the Three's dropping Joe Milton Passes yeah Wozzy Teams are going Trade for a bum that they know you're going to Cut. Pop - Baker - Polk - Osborn and sometimes even Thornton and Boutte are running with the Ones. All are Faster and are more sudden than that snail Juju.

Exactly we can absorb the Cap Hit we have the $$$$$$. Pats have a better chance Trading Osborn - Tyquan - Reagor even Bourne than Juju. Yeah that's how Far he's fallen down the dept chart.

T.T. making it all the way through August 2 was already more than we could expect!
Let's hope it's not an Injury it won't be good for him if he's injured again during another Preseason. And Yeah he look like he belongs I am pulling for him want to see him perform in Preseason games.

Trading Jonnu was more important than drafting Tom Brady... sounds legit.

Other teams who are desperate for WR help don't have a group of young hungry fast WR's... otherwise they wouldn't be desperate for WR help. Other teams don't read this site and aren't privy to your scouting reports either.

Why would some other team be staring at what the Patriots WR's are doing, they just got voted 32nd worst in the NFL by some stupid poll?

Imagine some other team is going to cut an offensive tackle because they have a young cheaper stud tackle pushing to start, the Patriots would trade a 6th or 7th to acquire the guy just so they wouldn't have to bid for his services. I mean not this version of the Pats... they think Chuka is good, but imagine a GM who understood the difference between a good and bad at offensive tackle.

Nobody thought they could trade Jonnu, then they did. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

This is a similar story to the past two years - constant shuffling due to injury leading to an inability to gain continuity and familiarity - two of the biggest factors in OL success, especially early in the season (which consequently leads to QB and or RB confidence).

I get that little things are inflated to ensure they don't become big injury things, but ultimately it's creating an NFL wide culture of the default being NOT practicing. This leads to "real" football not starting until week three or four of the season across all teams as the first few weeks are more familiarity building than execution.

Sorry to break it to you Wozzy I can think of Four maybe Five Teams who seem to have a log jam at WR way better than ours: who might have to out right Cut Guys ie...Bengals - Chicago - Steelers Titans and Bucs. Baring injuries some Teams are to be able to get some decent Guys with upside for Free: can't keep everybody.

I’m not TOO worried about shuffling during the early days of camp, but once we the preseason games are starting and we are nearing the regular season (so pretty soon) I do hope they finalize a starting 5 so they can begin building that familiarity and be pretty stable by week 2 or 3.

Hopefully Andrews becomes a full participant at center soon. Leverrett has done a good job backing him up but it would be nice to be able to have him as a top backup C/G if one of those guys gets hurt. Strange will be on PUP and Robinson is a rookie. We will see if Michael Jordan’s worth a spot. I’m not sold on Mafi.

Not sure who the starting tackles are. Okorafor seems like he will be one of two, but not sure which side. Lowe has been getting some positive press at LT with the switch to Scott Peters’ system. That would leave us with Lowe/Okorafor at LT/RT, Wallace as a backup RT and Anderson as a swing tackle.

I know how I feel about Drake Maye sitting wouldn't be happy but if Vederian Lowe is our Starting Left Tackle I going make an exception. I'm in favor of Sitting Maye until Lowe is sub planted Lowe was very scarry to watch last year: the guy is terrible.

Chuckwuma seems like he should make a good RT he's proven I'm hoping C Wallace is the answer at LT we know what V Lowe can do "QB over here." he's a straight line to the QB

The Bears and Bucs? Their top three WR’s are fine, after that it’s a bunch of jags they’ll have no problem cutting. The Bengals have four WR’s and a bunch of jags.

I’m not talking about a team looking for a prospect with upside they can develop… I’m talking about a team who needs a WR to contribute now. The Chiefs have a history with Juju, Rashee Rice is facing a suspension, they fit the criteria.

The most important position groups on any team is still:
1. QB
2. Ol
2a. DL
This was true in 1970,1980,1990,200,2010,2020 and right
now.
Fans who don't really understand the game over-value wrs.
The OL is MUCH more valuable to an offense than ANY wr who has ever played.
Even with all the rules changes favoring the offense over the last 20 years this is still true.
Put your $ and high draft picks on those 3 groups and you will win Championships.
I want 5 studs on my Ol with 2 more studs, one IOL and one quality tackle.
A great QB and a great OL will make mediocre receivers good and good wrs great.
The reverse is not true.

And if the coaches pick Lowe over Wallace, that is not good news about Wallace.
Wallace have an Excuse he's a Rookie...Lowe doesn't have a prayer.
